How to fix Trials (Multi-Flawless/Carries/Streamers, Walk away now)

Today, I was invited to play some casual Trials with a few friends. Had some practice runs, then got serious. My friends have been flawless many times since then, myself only once. I was in it mostly for the grimoire, but also wanted that Doctrine of Passing before it got nerfed. Soon after hitting 5 wins, we continued to run into flawless players. By flawless, I mean those that have ALREADY hit flawless today. These guys were either streamers, carries, or those that play non-stop in Crucible. I for one get a bit upset after going through 6 cards of losses and never get past a certain point of wins. The most wins we would get is 6. Most of which the previous wins from playing against those that had similar to less skill than our average team of players. From there on out, we continued to play against these carries/multiple flawless players. They were already using adept weapons. They had the new emblem. Even some of the new flawless gear. The main problem we had was facing these flawless players. Even those who have been flawless as many times as there are days in the year. Now what can YOU do, Bungie, to fix this? You obviously haven't added Skill-Based Matchmaking yet, but you allow the pros to go against first timers. Isn't that a bit unfair? Here's what I believe that is needed to be done (FINAL WARNING FOR MULTI-FLAWLESS/CARRIES/STREAMERS): -If you go flawless, you are unable to play Trials until weekly reset. 3 flawlesses per week, 1 per character. For example, if you go flawless on your warlock, you are unable to play Trials on that character until weekly reset. You're able to switch to either your Hunter or Titan to continue their flawless runs. Once you get all 3 flawless, wait until next week. Now for those of you who ignored my warning, here's my message to YOU! There are THOUSANDS of players who play this game. You're ruining the experience for the casual, average, or trash player from getting their first flawless. I'm all in it for EVERYONE getting their flawless emblem and gear. But having pros go against the lowest skilled players every time just shows how low of a community member you have become. So, by having 3 flawless characters each week, it will reduce the number of players playing Trials. The skilled players will be gone, and the average can go against other average or low skilled players. Then after the average skilled players are gone, it will be low skilled against low skilled. It will keep the balance. Don't fret. You'll still be able to play Elimination. The trials will have ended for that character, but elimination will be back in place of Trials for that one character that has been flawless. Then you can go against those of similar skill until the average and low skilled players end up joining the fray of battle. If you have any complaints, just throw them in my inbox. I ignore all comments that are against this and will be hidden. I hope you take this into consideration Bungie. Edit 1: 52 comments hidden and reported. Wow. It amazes me that people are so against this idea. It's NOT limiting your gametime in this game. You're still able to play the game. Just not one gametype after a flawless. You all choose to play one gametype and only that. This is why gamers have no variety in what they play anymore. You used to play games for the variety. There are thousands out there to play, some that require more play than others. But these days, you kids only play one game because mommy and daddy can't buy you every game on the market anymore. If something doesn't get addressed soon, Bungie REALLY doesn't care what the community thinks. Many of us have ASKED for SBMM that works, or even an IN-GAME skill system to balance competitive multiplayer. Have they done it? HELL NO!

  • Trials is supposed to be the best of the best, which you are not if you can't go flawless. Don't feel bad, I've never been either but that's no reason to penalize people who have been.

  • As someone who has NEVER been flawless I do not support your argument. Not everyone deserves to reach the lighthouse. It's a trophy and badge of honor to reach it. If you're no good enough, you don't get to go. I've gotten a lot better at Crucible so maybe one day I'll get to the lighthouse. Not everything in the game should be watered down for casuals

    • Haha hahaha good luck getting anyone to agree with this. It's all about "muh skills" and "why should I be penalized for getting good" Everyone wants to play when there's no threat of losing. All the 3.0 KD kiddies who sweat would have to play other game types against their own kind until the average KD peasants were done with trials. Then all you'd hear is "why should I play nothing but sweats ugh I wanna have fun and relax"
This is why people rely on lag
