Everybody who can not buy Rise Of Iron and gets the error query failed can't connect to the Xbox game store or Play station store. To resolve this issue you must own the Taken King. Second you must go onto the account that purchased the Taken King, because that account has the licences needed to validate that the player has the Taken King. Hope that this will resolve your issue that is preventing you from purchasing the Rise Of Iron.
