SIVA Offering Conundrum

After a discussion I had with a friend, we came to a possible reason for why it is only possible to hold one offering at a time. Since there are 3 different rarities and five different enemy compositions, that makes 15 different encounters possible. If Archon's forge was structured like Court of Oryx, that would mean 15 different terminals to put in any specific offering. Imagine the complaints if there were 15 terminals, not to mention how clunky it would look. So, in order to be in control of which offering goes in, we have to be limited to one at a time. I'm guessing this was supposed to be alleviated by being able to transfer offerings from the vault (which can stack offerings) using the app, however there was a duplication bug that resulted in offerings staying in the vault while also being in players' inventories. This has resulted in our current situation of frustration where we can only hold one at a time and need to to transfer offerings in person. If the app transfer were working properly, we would be able to choose which encounter we wanted out of the offerings we have. This gives us greater control over which encounter we want to get. While it is easy to yell at Bungie about our frustration, I'd rather come up with a solution to the fundamental problem that people are glossing over: How much control over the encounters do we want? Assuming that the app transfer starts to work as it was intended to, we have two control schemes that are possible. The ability to choose which encounter you get specifically as it is now, or a chance of any encounter at a specific rarity, like Court of Oryx. The upsides of the current system is that it is already implemented in the game. We only need the app transfer to work like it was intended to for this to be functional. The down side is that we can only hold one at a time, so it requires us to manage our inventory well. The upside of changing it to a CoO style would be the ability to hold multiple offerings in the player inventory. The down sides include adding two more terminals to the game world and changing the functionality of offerings to resemble the runes from CoO. This would require an update which could result in more bugs and the changing of items in player inventories. If you take nothing else away from my discussion, be aware that Bungie cannot simply allow us to hold more offerings without fundamentally changing how they work in the game.

 • The app has been disabled because streamers showed everyone an exploit to get multiple runs from the same offering using the app, not that it was broken. You would move the offering in and out from your character to your vault while activating the event. At 75% you would just leave it on your character and it would not consume the offering. Now I have to exit the forge and go to the tower to get another offering or change characters to move them around. This really never should have been broadcast by the streamers as most players don't look for exploits, we simply play the game as it is meant to be played.
