I personally can't wait for it. The people who are complaining about their progress most likely not crossing over to Destiny 2 are ridiculous. Destiny 2 is no different than a new sequel to a COD game. For example Black ops 1 to Black ops 2. No ones progress transferred to Black ops 2, because they're completely different! Same storyline but that's pretty much it. I understand that a lot have spent some time on this game but it just doesn't make sense to demand everything be transferred to a new game. It's stupid.

I'm glad you posted your thoughts, and I'll use it as a chance to express my own. Firstly, I completely agree with you, anyone complaining about starting new guardians is just silly. It's not that hard to bring up new characters. But then there's this: We don't know how different Destiny 2 will be. It may be that the classes and subclasses work entirely differently in the new game. What if you could build a dedicated healer warlock, who could res people from a distance, res multiple people at once, or heal team mates that are around them? Or maybe sunsingers will have an actual super (that heals people?)? Or what if we are able to custom build our classes by choosing our abilities and element, so that we could have a bladedancer that uses fire knives? There is no end to the possibilities of what a "Destiny 2" could be, and it may very well be worth starting over on. Finally, If it ships for PC, then I know that I would be starting over anyway, because I would happily switch to PC.
