Is anyone else excited for a clean wipe in Destiny 2?
I would love it if we moved on to different areas/characters. I think Destiny 2 has the potential to be much better, we just have to trust Bungie.

I don't care about weapons (except First Curse). But I definitely want my character.

When people say they want their characters carried over? What exactly are you wanting transferred from 1 to 2? Doesn't it depend on exactly what content is in the game? Like if it's just going to be a follow on story with the same subclasses etc then it's probably possible. But if they design a pretty much entire new game for 2 would it make much sense in having any of the old characters in it? I'm just genuinely curious.

1 ReplyI had a 'clean wipe' today, happy days. Had to look at the bowl to check I'd even been! Thankfully it wasn't a 'phantom' as that would have led to much head scratching :)

Since Bungie seems uninterested in creating an option to re-customise our Guardians appearance, I need an excuse to start over from scratch and the prospect of Destiny 2 being s brand new starting point and a radically different is the best excuse I could have hoped for. Back when Bungie first pitched Destiny, I imagined something an open world that looked more like an Online Borderlands 2 or an Online Skyrim. These rumours about Destiny 2 are probably B.S. but I like what I'm hearing, Destiny's destinations feel empty and lifeless, I think Destiny would be a better game if there were more stuff to do and interact with.

Let's be honest, there is nothing so unique about our chars: no name, we never see our faces, we all have the same weapons and armors. It won't change much. Still... I think it would be nice that you carry "something". One weapon or one emblem or one shader, just one thing that will acknowledge your past glory.

Im all for it but they should do a big moments of triumph beat all raids major quest lines and such! And the reward should be special gear to start out with in destiny 2 ( at 3 light of course ) lol

It's not bungie. For me personally, I love Destiny. Been playing since release and imo it's the community that complain so much that the game changes. I wish they would just leave things alone and play it the way Bungie release it. Yes, certain weapons are gonna be more powerful and things are gonna be more difficult than others. But that's the way it is.

I want to fly a mig-21. I know they're old and way outdated, but something tells me they'd still be around and in a state to be repaired to get them up and running even after the collapse. Either that, or an F-4 with wing mounted guns. Most of these enemies don't seem to have a dedicated airforce, so why not use some old tech to terrorize the enemy?

i hope you can bring your guns, doesn't matter if they stay stuck in there level, better then nothing. also framing your favorite armor from the last three classes would be a nice love letter to destiny one fanatics. like three manicans or something.
