A little PSA about raid requirements and how upset people are about them

I've seen a deluge of posts hating on people for already instating raid requirements and I just have a few things to say about it. If you disagree that's OK but I feel a lot of this should be said. First off, it's OK to have requirements. People asking for experienced players likely have either already beaten it, or are struggling themselves on the raid. I firmly believe at this stage of the raid's lifespan non experienced players should be playing together, not with more experienced players. You only ever get the chance to blind raid once. My group beat it without guides and I'm extremely proud of that. Blind raiding is possibly the best experience this game has to offer, and it only comes once a year. Dont waste it. Even if you get stuck at the beginning you guys should take this week to try and figure things out for yourselves. If you've never raided this will be quite an experience, if you have you should be a bloodhound for hunting mechanics. Secondly, how can you get mad at people for asking for 365+ when the suggested light is 370? It's very beatable at 365 but groups below that have struggled. If you didn't make 365 and someone who did doesn't wanna raid with you there's no reason to be mad. Aksis is a DPS weigh station, if you can't do damage you will hold back your team regardless of skill. We worked hard to reach light level in time (those of us who didnt take advantage of exploits). There are some I've seen asking for 380, I understand it but that's a little absurd IMO a skilled 365 is fine. Thirdly, this is where I start disagreeing, people are asking for weapon requirements. A skilled player can beat this with any weapon set they like. I will say this, it's ill advised to enter a raid without a strong high impact sniper but gjally is not necessary (although helpful). Players will always excel better with the weapons they are comfortable with. Remember, try to have fun out there and don't let other people's requirements get you down. There are plenty of people who haven't even tried the raid yet. Squad up with them and hit it blind. It's too early in the year for you guys to try to latch on to other players when you don't meet their requirements, you'll only ruin your own experience. These requirements save those of us who have completed it a lot of time and stress. I promise once I'm stronger and have a few more completions under my belt I'll be helping anyone and everyone who needs it but it's too early to ask us for that right now. It is not too early however, to try to put together a group of matched skill and level players. Anyone 365 plus worked hard to get there, and shouldn't have to feel slowed down by people with less damage output. Again if you disagree that's OK but try not to be salty or rude about it. Thanks for listening. edit: as FonFahbre pointed out, you can also always post your own requirements and build a group that fits them. There's no reason any of you can't host the game yourself and recruit a team. Edit 2: as of last night I hit 370 an began doing sherpa runs. Got my friends to aksis pt. 1 before we called it quits for the night. Hopefully we'll tackle that tonight. Please do not spam me for help as I'm committed to helping this group first. The run requirement was 350+.
