Dredgen Yor Identity Crisis

So recently, in the Rise Of Iron Grimoire cards, its been revealed that Rezyl Azzir, one of the first risen to be called a Guardian, met Xyor the Unwed on the Moon. This heavily hints that he is fact Dredgen Yor, the owner of Thorn and mass murderer. However, even though it seems that he could be, people are going with the argument that he is still a Hunter because of his rose artifact and cloak. But one thing people haven't realised is that his cloak wasn't his originally, he took that cloak when he murdered Pahanin, the Hunter who escaped the vault and went insane. They're also talking about the new Cathedral of Dust Grimoire card saying its Shaxx talking to Dredgen, which doesn't make any sense as A) They're on the Dreadnaught and B) In the card they talk about Yor as someone seperate from the Hunter mentioned who is saying he cleansed Thorn (probably the new quest). So its just Shaxx (or another Titan) talking to a Hunter who is using a cleansed Thorn.

    Hey hey! It's you again!
before we get into this you should know that Dredgen wasn't the only corrupt guardian, the cathedral of dusk card points out there were more. Furthermore, the card states Azzir was in "holy ground". Maybe that's the spot where she performed the ritual on Dredgen?
Alright I'll give you that point about Azzir only because I haven't collected all of his grimoire cards so I'm assuming you know more about him than me. My point about him being a hunter still stands but I'm now going to start from the beginning for you to really understand not only why he's a hunter but why he can't be another class. Ok let's go. People said Warlock since his Grimoire card is that of a Warlock with Thorn, because the other two Guardians who studied the Darkness were Warlocks, and because the cloak in the game doesn't actually say it was his. It could just be based off his gear or cut from a Warlock's robes. However, I am convinced he was a Hunter. The reasons being are: 1. The cloak despite what I said before (since the Paganini theory is stilll just a theory); and the rose. Now I know what you said but hear me out. Why would a Titan or a Warlock carry an abject that reminded them of someone so evil? Especially Titans -them being the class that stand for honour and dignity- why would they want to parade the deeds of a murderer? Hunters on the other hand respect great deeds and accomplishments and while Dredgen did murder a lot of guardians he also used to rule the crucible and back in the first days of the city when the walls were still being raised by the Titans, it was hunters who were tasked with "scouting" out into the wild to find and protect the remnants of society. An example of this would be Jared who came to Shins settlement. 2. His whole persona reading that of a Hunter who roams the Frontier. His Grimoire passages and the ones he's included in talk of his hand cannon, a common weapon of a Hunter, and of other Hunters he was always around. 3. Unlike the Warlocks who mostly studied the Darkness, Yor actually took a more active approach to it and let it consume him. He wasn't studying it to understand it, but rather letting it fill him so he could have its power. Perhaps that's how he thought he could understand it. Maybe he hoped to control it and hold it at bay, like a martyr finding a way to defeat the enemy and using their own being as a catalyst for that test. What he was before though he was not after. 4. The biggest point, and, honestly, the one that convinced me, is Thorn. Sure, it's a hand cannon which are most typically alined with Hunters, but that doesn't mean other classes can't use them. No, it was something on Thorn that I stupidly missed for too long. The sights. Well, just below them. The above image is not me showing the thorns the gun fires, but the triangle. Some of you may recognise it, but it's an older symbol from before Destiny release. It's the original symbol of the Hunters, as still seen here. https://www.bungie.net/img/profile/avatars/group/avatars_groups_hunter.jpg Thoughts?
