real simple
you want to use a handcannon
you want as much range stat as possible
this means rifled barrel+rangefinder.
after that it is flavor but for some frame of reference part of the reason handcannons are so good is due to there use in VERTICAL SPACE...I.E...while jumping/moving. This makes Icarus a VERY strong option to have, and it really does help.
beyond that things like hidden hand, third eye, and luck in the chamber are strong options.
but what about guns specifically?
basically you have 3 superb options
Eyasluna, while the recoil pattern takes some getting used to it can allow for some benefits due to field of view adjustments.
Palindrome, 1 point higher range stat (39 vs 38 of eyasluna) and a much more vertical recoil along with a very strong inherent AA stat makes this great. not as much stability but with the increase range and AA you can shoot more reliably at longer ranges. You can pick up a near perfect vendor roll at the crucible vendor (mulligan/spray and play options are the only downside to it)
Imago Loop, the highest range stat of all med impact handcannons (40) along with a good mag size and decent AA (61, still higher then eyasluna) the only area this gun lacks in is handling. if you can get used to its poor handling then great, otherwise id suggest a blade dancer with quickdraw perk or a warlock with ophidian aspects.

so i suck at figuring out how far i should be from an encounter while using a h.c.. any general tips? feels like the distance has shortned since y1?
