So I've started using sidearms lately in PvP. Mainly for the Supremacy game mode which encourages more aggressive play styles. So far I've been very impressed with the Jabberhakke-D. High rate of fire, accurate and it kills real quick.
Having a lot of fun with it. Anyone else use them and what would you recommend?

Crazy idea but what about dual wielding sidearms?
-
I use queens choice its an exellent sidearm and it kicks ass in pvp

Edited by Av3ng3r_013: 9/30/2016 6:10:10 AMI used vestian dynasty in year one for shotgun rushers and still use them occasionally
-
I love using my conviction with my NLB. Sidearms melt and are very underrated. They're so much better than shotguns and can compete with primaries at a decent distance. Can't tell you how many times I've outgunned TLW and GOM.
-
Trespasser anyone?
-
Sidearms are great for burning through shields and switching back and forth to your primary. Hotswap helps a lot. I generally pick stability perks over anythings else; equipping armor that buffs reload speed usually balances out 'pick-n-choose' situations when it comes to sacrificing other traits for stability, at least in my experience.

Ironwreath-D absolutely shreks in supremacy, especially the original year 2 iron banner one.
-
Shhh you're exposing the business...Also bungie will nerf them so that it'll take a whole mag to kill someone (mag of 15 or 18 depending on which perks) and take off things like zen moment and feeding frenzy because it'll be "working too well in pvp". Shhhhh let us sidearm users enjoy what we have.
still waiting for the mother -blam!-ing trespasser. Rng must hate me...
If you want to get into sidearms and are willing to use your exotic slot for one, I'd recommend the Dreg's Promise. It has travel time on the projectiles, but once you get used to the delayed hits, the weapon is an absolute beast.
-
I'm getting into them now alright, took awhile
-
I use the same sidearm. If used correctly u can counter shotguns with sidearms! Love doing that. Be back peddling and bustin caps in them while they are trying to rush lmao oh and don't forget to jump at last second in edge of map I made three guys run off the edge of the map at the same time hahaha. #mapawarness

I don't care about any other sidearms, Conviction II is still the best in my opinion.
-
Once the Grimoire for 5,000 kills using 'Sidearms' was acquired they just become legendary Marks now,
-
Really like using havoc pigeon with NLB
-
I used them before they were cool
-
I would love to use the Trespasser (even got the Crucible Assassin ornament for it) but sadly RNGesus thinks I need more patience and time with my 3oC special engrams...
-
Personally, I think sidearms need big damage buffs and moved to the primary slot as a short to mid range weapon with slightly above moderate damage, medium RoF, high stability and quick reload with exotics granting increased critical damage. Hand cannons should get an ammo capacity nerf and a damage buff, then moved to the special weapons slot as a short range alternative to a sniper rifle.

just got a Crows Eye from ranking up Variks and it destroys splicers.
-
If you're on ps4, jade rabbit with a sidearm is an amazing combo of you learn how to use it.
-
Lol Jabberhakke is the low rate of fire archetype. Get your hands on a havoc pidgin
-
I love using the new sidearm Trespasser...it's great in PvP
-
Sidearms are great for PvE. I have started using one regularly. Started trying a few of them - love my Havoc Pigeon - hated Crow's Eye (looked cool though).
-
I've always occasionally picked up a side arm. I like them but Ive never had a good one till ingot my jabberhakke with Zen moment and outlaw
-
Sidearms need a big buff
-
Oh yeah. I'm working on the Chaperone bounty and sidearms work pretty well for mid range engagements.
-
Me. My favorite secondaries. Even good for PvE.
