For those that came here for criticism and critique, you're welcome to share your thoughts. But this is a statement that Crucible is fine.
I have been playing PvP since launch and enjoy it. Yes, the Empire Palatines and the Titan insta-kill melees are atrocious but there are weaknesses to each class. Each player has a go-to way of playing. Their style. Even thorn throwers are welcome! I don't enjoy it but they're killable.
I'm happy to say that Crucible is my multiplayer PvP for any game. I'm not happy with the Call of Duty lackluster and Halo becoming a joke. Destiny is my stomping grounds at the moment. Am I the only one?
I made this to encourage positivity among the forums. It seems they've turned into a gripe-fest. Get over it. Become Legend. Find your destiny and prove yourself to the Iron Lords.
Personally, I usually run a CQC Bladedancer and thoroughly enjoy it. Once I unlocked led it a couple years ago, I fell in love with it!
If you're not happy with your crucible runs, find a group to support you. Run with a couple guardians or a whole pack. Find your niche. Enjoy the game.
Thanks Bungie for a solid PvP experience.
Skully,
out.

I think the crucible never been this worse honestly
-
lack of dedicated servers for PVP made it a permanent crap heap - no excuses for an an online only game

One word: LAG
-
I'd agree if Auto Rifles weren't ass as a whole (no pun intended....ok it was kinda intended). But seriously, give low ROF ARs and Low ROF Pulse Rifles a noticeable buff and I'll be closer to agreeing.
-
I just wish weapons would be more consistent. It bothers me that hand canons without range increasing perks are useless. Autos are in the same boat. Sometimes they melt sometimes they don't. Shotgun range and spread is all over the map. The only thing I miss about past metas is that the gunplay was much smoother. Thorns at range is better than messy laggy shotgun melee fights in my opinion.
-
Don't get me wrong, I do like crucible. But I have to play in small doses. The mechanics are fun and it's different to other games but it is completely unbalanced and the lag... Oh the lag! If the sorted the lag out I think I would find it more bearable. Looking forward to iron banner though.

Edited by Tim vdB3: 9/26/2016 1:28:41 PMI just don't like how fast RoF pulse rifles have almost no damage falloff. It makes higher impact pulse and auto rifles unnecessarily because a hacksaw will always outperform them.

Thanks bud. Took the words right from my mouth.

The Crucible is fine, the gameplay can be fun, the classes are great and in all honesty, balance is probably the best it's ever been. But it just gets so stale so quick. It's to be expected when you have a multiplayer experience that has remained virtually un-changed for two years now. I really hope that Destiny 2 brings the crucible at least to halo 3's standard.
-
It's in the position as one of the least diverse times in the crucible to date. Primaries are only so good because it's easier to run away from someone with a primary than it is to actually engage in the fight. Do I want to even talk about how dead snipers are? They've been executed with a matador, nobody is using them anymore because it's just not worth it. Most maps are CQC heavy, the new ones especially, and it shows. Shotguns reign supreme in the crucible, if you're not running a shotgun you're doing it wrong. I hate it, I do. But compared to me trying to use a primary to switching to a shotgun the difference becomes night and day. That's my take on it after spending a lot of my weekend clearing up Shaxx's bounty and the record book. Maybe you're different but I don't like the way it is now and never will.

Played two games if supremacy earlier loved it.
-
How to avoid a shotgunner: Stay 10 meters away. Always check your corners. Don't go blindly around corners.
-
I like that there is a mode for every playstyle EXCEPT mine since they took away Combined Arms.
-
I think the crucible is doing good.... BUT there is always one thing. The most disgusting weapon type in the game also known as the
shotgun
-
Hmmm no its not bungies genius idea to do weapon balance updates hasn't balanced anything and they have just completely wasted their time because no matter what people will always find the next thing that is most consistent than other weapons and right now shotguns are all over the place I wonder why?? Also hand cannons got ruined where now it's all luck whether you hit any shots at all and other primaries take a billion shots just to even get the armour down congrats to bungie for that superb thinking. Fusion rifles work when they want to and there's only a few fusions rifles that work sort of well because of the lack of accuracy. Bungie have nerfed the majority of weapons that much you may aswell just all gather together have no weapons and everyone have a melee scrap that's how bad it's become. But anyway if I wanted to play pvp anymore it wouldn't be this game that's for certain.
-
You must not have experienced the house of wolves Era my friend if you think pvp is 'fine' right now. It's a mess at this point. Cant play a certain game when everyone forces you to play shotgun rusher because primaries are near useless (besides op Last Word of course and you know it's true) Another crappy meta that Bungie created that we have to suffer.
-
I run a Sunbreaker, Zhalo, either a sidearm it fusion, and a rocket. I usually do quite well. With snipers nerfed, I will reign supreme...assuming I can stay out of the new pve content of rise of iron
-
I'm loving the fast pace action, it no year 1 but it's wayyyyy better than the sniper shit.
-
It's really not fine. Crucible has match quality issues. The lag in 80% of games isn't ok. I don't enjoy crucible at all. If I want pvp that's fun, I'll play another game.
-
Crucible is okay I guess but these new maps; I don't know but I like them but I also hate them. All shotgun plays. Not much room for anything else really. You can but it's effective use are lacking compared to shotgun.
-
What's Crucible?
-
I really enjoy playing a bit of crucible every now and then but some days the lag is very real.
-
I think the Crucible is balanced. I can go in with just about any weapon and do well, I don't feel like I absolutely have to go in using a particular weapon or subclass just to stand a chance. I like to use unpopular weapons and subclasses/builds. Today I used a Bladedancer invisibility build with flux grenades, Khepri's Sting, and the new Khvostov.
-
Yeah but, Stormcaller melee..... and Stormfist melee....
-
I wouldnt say the current crucible is "fine". Thats because the servers are laggy af. But as far as the weapon balancing goes, Id say the crucible has improved since ROI officially released. Primaries Im seeing quite a few different weapons in use. We are no longer in the "Mida Meta" where 15% of the entire community was using Mida (Thank goodness thats over). And weapons feel like they are falling in specific roles. Hand cannons have overwhelming power at close ranges, pulses are overwhelming at medium ranges, scouts are overwhelming at long ranges, and autos are okay at close and medium ranges. Also I am not seeing anything overused too much either. Except for a few scrub muffins who still try to crutch the Uni and Mida, I am not seeing any repeat guns. Lots of variety, which is super good in my opinion. Secondaries Seeing about 80% shotguns, 15% fusions, 5% snipers. This class of weapons needs to be reworked. Unfortunately, shotguns are just too good with the new maps and weapon buffs. Heavies Heavies are heavies. I honestly think Bungie is close to making destiny balanced. There are things that need work, but Im beyond happy that we arent in that crap that was year 2 *shudders*. I despised every meta that existed in year 2 (Pulse meta, Mida meta, Uni meta, etc) If they can fine tune things a bit more and make region specific servers, then I think destiny would be a very impressive PvP.
