Perfect roll handcannons are probably the best primary in the game right now. Tbh no more buffs. They are fine. I'll will is amazing on its own.

Handcannons need that perfect roll to be powerful. Rifled barrel is a must. I rolled a palindrome with rangefinder, rifled, outlaw. Absolutely love it. Still have a few shots go haywire...but overall pretty good gun. Crucible vendor has one very similar. Well worth picking up.

The effective range is fine, but they should push out the bloom cone just few meters. For now if you don't have a max range HC sometimes shots miss at close medium range where handcannons shouldn't...

Being someone who has mained hand cannons since the games launch for PvE and PvP, I'd say that for the most part they've finally got hand cannons in a comfortable space where they're not OP and not necessarily weak either - I'd say instead of increasing the range they should reduce the damage fall off just a little at max instead and sort out the ghost bullet bs [spoiler]don't care what any year 2/3 adopter says, TDYK still best hand cannon 😎[/spoiler]

The issue is that they more or less introduced this to control the Y1 problem HC, most noteably Thorn. I imagine it's Bloom and initial accuracy are both tied to the base mechanics of the gun, and is not a stat unique to each gun. Hypothesis? They can't get rid of the accuracy penalties without removing them on the Last Word too (and to lesser extent Thorn and Hawkmoon), and those are what keep that gun in check. They probably have to overhaul the whole accuracy and bloom mechanics with everything in order to bring up the legendary weapons without making LW the king of PvP again. The change might be more than their willing to make for the current game, and we might get a more proper fix for Destiny 2

The range is currently balanced just not the hit registration I have an eyesluna with true sight rangefinder rifled barrel and hidden hand it's soooo aim bot but sometimes I miss some shots that I find myself scratching my head and wondering "how did that miss it was perfect" and other times I'm screaming that at a screen that says "guardian down" with my name on it

I care less about range and more about hit registration. Yes, I understand that range basically is hit registration in this game. But they need to fix the accuracy of handcannons without touching the range stat. Otherwise, people will complain that their damage fall off isn't drastic enough while we will continue to suffer from bloom and ghost bullets, both of which need to be taken out of the game.

They aren't to bad if you land a range perk...so if they buff the range everyone with rifled barrel hand cannons will become Op...
