Try to purchase the rise of iron on 9/19/16
To whom it may concern on 9/19/16 I tried to purchase the pre-order of the rise of iron and could not and it kept giving me an error "query failed could not establish connection to the Xbox game store. New Silver purchases will update when you next sign in." And I tried everything from restarting my Xbox and my router and also disconnecting the Xbox and the router I even went as far as deleting destiny off of my Xbox one and downloading everything I've purchased for every expansion and add on and I still not able to purchase the update all I can do at this time is supposedly purchase the collection edition and why would I go do something like that when I already have every single expansion of destiny and I've noticed I'm not the only hardcore gamer that is having this problem and I've yet to see anyone from bungie give an explanation or even an apology to anyone for the inconvenience ... I'm sorry to say it destiny but the taking king would be my last purchase from bungie ...

11 RepliesIf you are having difficulty purchasing the expansion from the in game links, try searching the Xbox One store for "rise of iron". There will be two listings - one will say bundle only. It is the other that can be purchased as standalone RoI. Be sure that you are logged into an account that purchased TTK from the Xbox live marketplace, or an account that redeemed a code for TTK from a physical version. This is a requirement to purchase standalone RoI. Accounts accessing a copy of TTK owned by another account, are not eligible to purchase standalone RoI. If you are logged into an account that has directly purchased TTK, and the listing still shows as "Not Available", your TTK license is not being recognized. Try restoring licenses: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181 If after that the listing is still showing as not available, you will have to contact Microsoft. As owners of the Xbox live marketplace and your Xbox live account, only they can resolve any issues with the store or your account.

I had the same problem on xbox1, and after going to several forums, I got to read a few comments here on this forum... I tried resetting my xbox1, but it did not work... I then tried deleting TTK and reinstalling . I restarted my Xbox 1 and went on the maps hammer just to the right of my ship and the option to buy came right up... Hope this helps someone else...

2 RepliesI am having the exact same problem and I was really looking forward to playing the expansion when I am greeted with "Query failed". It's very annoying when you spend $30 on a new expansion and you aren't even able to play it, all the while you friends are gaining higher light levels and you just sit there and watch. Bungie pleas fix, I love all of your content and I would love to play Rise of Iron too.

It's so stupid, I'm not paying $60 when I already have everything but this latest add on. Why bungie hasn't come up with a solution is beyond me. I've tried to buy it for 2 straight days unsuccessfully.
