You can mega powerlevel straight to 365 light via the regualr 320 omnigul strike

Let me start this off by saying, NO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY THE LOTTERY AND GET OMNIGUL ON THE HEROIC STRIKE LIST.
You don't need no stupid skeleton keys, no heroic strikes, no legendary or exotic engrams, you just need a fireteam and wait for it....the WILL to level. Get it? Will? I'll show myself out.
You do not need to get obliterated into Destiny 2 via arc burn wizards. Simply launch the Will of Crota strike from the directory and put on the Light level 320 version of the strike. I don't mention this as "heroic" because i don't want people to be confused and automatically assume you need to get omnigul in a heroic strike playlist.
As you can see in the video, there are no modifers on, signaling that it is indeed the regular version of the strike from the directory. But the key point here is, you can continously farm omnigul for 2-3 decrypted blues and they will come out at your current light level or higher. Omnigul even drops ghost shells which are elusive outside of 350 light that vendors sell. Here you can get them at 365 light and easily at that.
As you can see in the video, you can do the farm with the standard tether setup or you can go ahead and be the slayer of the hive race and just rock triple stromcaller and just tickle omnigul to death.
Things that i would recommend for the grind are
-A nightstalker for tether (optional, not manditory but very helpful)
-Raze lighter exotic sword or a Gjallarhorn
-a mob cleaner if you have no tether (this involves gjallarhorn, too)
-TONS AND TONS OF INVENTORY SPACE -- Can't be stressed enough
-A moderate amount of legendary marks, motes of light and exotic shards. Why? Because while you can wear the blues that you get from omnigul, you'll still need to wear certain things like a sword, gjallarhorn, or a specific armor exotic and eventually they'll need to be leveled up to increase your overall light level.
Kill omnigul before she teleports to her spawn point and make sure to wipe AWAY from the top of the garage, Rinse and repeat until you are on the cusp of 365 light and then go pray for a high level artifact from one of your billions of blue engrams to complete your 365 light set.

If you want to raise your light level, here is a novel idea....play the freaking game. It is pathetic how quick people are to jump on the bleeping cheese train. Bungie cannot patch this fast enough. @Bungie - PLEASE PATCH THIS ASAP Easy way to raise your light. Play the game. Do Heroic strikes. Play in the Crucible. Go to Archons Forge. Do things the right way. Stop looking for short cuts. The grind is reasonable the game literally just came out. Pathetic

I think the problem is that there needs to be more content outside of strikes,raid,and archon that reward drops that consistently pushes LL towards the raid level. I'm thinking more story missions or another type of social event where multiple fire teams can work together to complete a mission(I.e. Like powering up cannons so another team can fire them against enemy cabal ships or something while fighting adds). Also I think they should have pushed the raid back to next week and used ideas like the ones above to help propel and engage players until they were LL ready. Not trying to say I hate the game just saying they could've added more in between to help gear us up. Also inb4 I know there are several avenues to level now but they're kinda the same as what we had before what I mean is a completely new path. But I guess that's Destiny 2 talk now.

Any questions? Yeah, what's the point? Isn't any game about the journey?, not the end goal? The journey keeps you playing, not sweating to end game level. I am enjoying levelling up via strikes and crucible. If anything even that is a bit too quick. Remember, it's probably 9-12 months until Destiny 2.

1 ReplyThis is what happens with the raid comes out 4 days after release and Bungie is hyping the "World's First" as something amazing. It also promotes the ridiculous LFG requirements that end up making it hard for casual/solo players to find a decent, fun team. I love the game but trying to keep up just so I can play the endgame stuff before I get left far behind feels like work.

5 RepliesPeople will hate but the ones willing to do this want to be "raid ready" in three days. After the next reset LFG groups are going to be like "must be 380+, must have xxxx weapon....." etc. We have seen this before. So why is anyone surprised and lashing out at people. I agree with a poster below that they should have released the raid next week so cheesing your level isn't as popular.
