Mediacom seems to be the issue. I just did it with my mobile hotspot and the update worked.

Having this issue and am also on Mediacom. I've gone as far as to fully reformat my PS4, still no go. Everything else downloads and updates no problem. It is only this update that keeps messing up. EDIT: Just deleted the update, cleared the system cache, then used my phone as a hotspot. It still gives me the same error when I try to download again.

  • Never been an issue before. I opened the Bungie ports and it didn't change anything and I can download and play any other game without a problem. Only Destiny doesn't work and it worked always until Monday evening. Even talked to my ISP yesterday. They didn't see an issue. I'll keep an open mind, but I gathered a few dozen people yesterday. Will need to confer with them...

  • So after you got your update to work, are you now playing the game back on your Mediacom internet?

  • My service provider is Mediacom also. update 1.28 hanging at 23.53 mb on both of my PS4 systems. tried deleting the update and shutting down the PS4 systems, then restarting the update. I even updated my Asus router to the latest firmware. no change update still hangs at 23.53 mb and then eventually the system reports CANNOT DOWNLOAD. Is this a problem with Mediacom shaping their traffic incorrectly, or blocking suspected botnet traffic????

  • That is something that you might want to call and tell Mediacom. I know calling them is a hassle but maybe this information will allow them to fix whats happening.

  • That is a good question lol. Be like yeah one game on my list isn't working but the rest of them are... The only thing relevant to use would be that other people have used different ISP's and got to download Destiny that way.
