It's all depends if you want magicka or stamina.
Magicka templars are nasty when it comes to dps. Not as good as a magicka sorc with high overload burst dps, but still can consistently crank out the dps.
For stamina, I recommend a red guard DK. You get% of max stam back when performing a heavy attack (once per 5 seconds).
You want to put all points into stamina, you'll get to 18k health with glyphs on your gear.
For champion points on the blue tree, equal points in thaumaturge, mighty, and precise strikes as all three of these will greatly improve dps.
So this build is a DoT build. Dual wield daggers on the first bar with venomous claw, rearming trap , flames of oblivion, steel tornado, and flurry. You want the duel daggers to be maelstrom to have 100% chance to proc the increased dot damage after using flurry.
Back bar is a bow with arrow spray, igneous weapons, poison injection, vigor , and snipe.
You want this weapon maelstrom as well.
As far as gear sets, I go 5 piece hundings , Molag kena helm or shoulders and veildraiths helm or shoulders . Both of these monster pieces increase weapon damage. Get your jewelry with 3 piece agility set. With this set on and igneous weapons applied, your weapon damage will be around 4.2k with 60% crit.

Wana make a dk to try a build with the sun set. Tried on my magplar and it just didn't work out. Also a question, what cp is good to start trying VMA? I'm 352 right now which I think is too low

Edited by ChaoticPhenomena: 9/21/2016 7:01:13 PMUsing the sun set would only work with a magicka Dk, seeing as all the upgraded forms of flame skills change them to poison and stamina based. Using the sun set 5 piece would give you 400+ fire spell damage, and while that seems like not an impressive amount, utilizing two piece Molag kena, 3 piece willpower, and dual wield torags pact swords would put you well over 4K spell damage, maybe even closer to 5k when you proc kena. Also, I believe 300+ cp is a great time to try and do VMA. It's mostly learning the mechanics and where to stand and what to burn fast.

Yeah I realized that once I got all the pieces that it wasn't gonna work. Changed to 5 Julianna's and 4 Magnus dual wield and will power and now he's my best character. But ok yeah I tried and got through the first round easy but the second round those spinning blades do so much damage haha

Edited by ChaoticPhenomena: 9/21/2016 7:41:24 PMThe second round can be tricky. You have to be aware where the outside two rings spinning blades are at all times. Using the regeneration power up is extremely helpful for each round as well. For the adds, focus on the spheres as they die fast but do a lot of burst damage, followed by the spiders. The final boss is 3 big machine dudes who each take turns becoming invulnerable , so constantly moving away from them to kite them into their distance attack is great for doing massive amount of dos to them. That build seems solid as well. Make sure your spell crit is over 50% though because julianos is best utilized when crit percentage is above that threshold.

Yeah I really have no problem killing the enemies it's just the blades that fûck me up haha. And yeah crits at like 54% but I have spell crit potions and spell damage gets to about 3800 buffed completely

Thanks for some build ideas. I made a magicka sorc to try and see what other players do and ive been loving it in pvp. Ive actually been doing damage as a level 10-15 unlike my cp61 mostly magicka dk. I guess dk's arent meant for damage

Dks are meant for damage. It's all based on DoT damage while sorcs are built on burst damage.
