RISE OF IRON PREPARATION TIPS

This is it Guardians! Rise of Iron is just about 12 hours away from launching, thus marking the end of the Transmission event. Thank you all who have contributed to my previous post (https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/213082303?sort=0&page=0) and cooperated to find out what the tech mites and the Owl Sector have to do with SIVA! You all are the best and the reason why the Destiny community is phenomenal! Now, here are a few things to keep in mind to prepare for Rise of Iron: - Despite the XP bonus buffs, try as best you can to edge your Reputation gains. You’ll want those Packages and good loot early when the DLC launches. - Horde Engrams! As I recall from one of the past DLCs, Engrams saved and decrypted post-DLC launch granted the DLC’s weapons and armor. Whether or not this is going to happen on launch is unknown. The only harm is that you’ll get old stuff. But who knows, you might pick up that eluding Zen Meteor you’ve always wanted (sorry Xbox players…)… - If you are hording Engrams and if they do decrypt to the DLC’s gear, I prefer saving them (especially the Legendary and Exotics) until after you finish the main questline and/or you reach max Light level. Then, you can potentially get higher Light level gear. - Stock up on Parts, Glimmer, Strange Coins, Mote, Marks and other Upgrade Materials! Ascending and upgrading new gear is going to get pretty costly once you start getting a lot of them so the more you have, the easier it’ll be to upgrade. - Stock up on Ammo Syntheses! Wrath of the Machine (Raid) will be open on Friday, September 23rd and you’ll want to be prepared. You’ll be busy using Glimmer to upgrade your new gear so stock up before launch. The last thing we want to hear is that “I have to run to the Tower, I need more synths.” - Save your Reputation Boosters! You’ll want to get as much XP as possible during the DLC in order to get the new gear! Except for House of Judgment Boosters, do whatever you desire with those. - If you haven’t got the 3 Calcified Fragments from beating the Challenge Modes on the Warpriest, Golgoroth or Oryx, today (might) be your last chance! All 3 challenges are available this week in Hard Mode so get to it! - Finish those Year 2 Moments of Triumphs! Today is your last chance to get those 2 unique Emblems and Shaders, so get to it! - Fully upgrade your subclasses! Who knows what the DLC might hold for us Guardians? Maybe the new Raid will require more than just a “tether” or a “bubble,” perhaps a “bomb” will be necessary… - Max out your Light level if you haven’t already! The Light level difficulty will be raised so be prepared! - Check your internet connection! Because you know why. - Get some sleep! Time passes faster when you’re sleeping so you don’t have to go through the agony of staring at the clock or your console’s download list to see if it started downloading yet… Rise of Iron launches at approximately 2:00am PST on Tuesday, September 20th. Welcome to Year 3, Guardians! Felwinter’s Peak, the Plaguelands, Archon’s Forge, Supremacy; I can’t wait to see you all there!
