The vex may summon back the darkness.

So today I'm here to tell you just a little bit about the darkness and how it may return. The darkness is another enemy entirely, rasputin refers to the darkness as IT and sometimes called it the "Queen of final shapes". He fought it and did nothing to it then hid away in his bunker. It is believed that the darkness created the black garden and the black heart. Given that it shares resemblance to a taken blight (which I discussed in another theory), it's just another reason to assume it was created by the darkness. Exactly what the heart does is mostly unknown but according to the stranger, it's some kind of glorified factory. (as she calls it the birthplace of the vex.) So how will the darkness return? Well, let's look at the relationship between the black heart and the vex real quick. The Sol Divisive is a vex function that is dedicated to worshiping the black heart. The black heart transcends their power so the only logical thing they could think to do it worship it for power. Now consider that we have killed the thing they were worshiping, at first they treat it like a mind and have the undying mind come out to resurrect it. But we killed that, and after the failure with the restorative mind, the sol devised might come to think outside of the box. The black heart is presumed to be a creation of the darkness itself. From studies obtained from analyzing the hive (in the book of sorrows), they may attempt to perform a ritual to bring back the heart. But the vex have never been able to master hive techniques so something is bound to go wrong. What I foresee happening is the Sol Divisive performing a ritual of darkness. They’ll succeed, but they’ll summon something far more powerful, and deadly. IT, The darkness, The final queen of shapes. I think the vex will summon back the very thing the traveler nearly died from fighting. In the wake of this, the queen of final shapes will transform the vex, making them more powerful. This would explain why the stranger’s main concern is the vex, even though they seem to be easily foiled. An agent of the darkness itself would be one hell of a boost to their plans and make them far more dangerous than they were before. And from the description Rasputin gave for the Queen of the darkness, the queen of final shapes may very well hold the potential to make the vex even more powerful than Oryx and the taken. And there may be evidence of this in-game. Remember when I mentioned the black heart had some similarities with the taken blights? I want you to look at the major minotaurs and notice the odd effect around them. It oddly resembles the taken effect. Maybe that’s just me, but I wouldn’t count it out. So what do you think? Will the vex summon back the darkness? Either way, hope you enjoyed.
Back to master thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/205238605
Cheers :D

 • Very well thought out. Honestly, with tje worm gods being born of The Darkness I suspect that killing Oryx has alarmed The Darkness. Now it's going to come after us. Oryx was just the beginning... On a side note... The Traveler DID die fighting The Darkness. Currently it is extremely slowly reviving itself (somehow). It doesn't have enough light to fully revive because we are channeling/draining light from it for various purposes. But Resurrection is part one of The Light's tricks per lore. (FYI people. Every death you experience minus Game Over/Wipes is Lore.)
