  • kinda its not actually a meme until its passed from one mind to another's. but what i mean tho is like---> if you apply criteria for consciousness/awareness to a meme--> it can actually meet those to some respect. also many memes live well past the human life span and some even span the millenniums. so like my question is kinda more related to where they come from and more of a what are they in relation to---> the three things that determine the actions of humans: genes reaction to stimulus/environment memes

  • I honestly cannot give you an answer. There are people much smarter than me, like Richard Dawkins, who still debate this topic. I doubt there will ever be a for sure answer.
