Well, to my knowledge those terms are exchangeable, though the more modern/commonly used term would be funeral director. Though, this may vary between localities as well. Either way, I'm starting out as an apprentice, but a fully licensed funeral director/mortician is the goal.
I appreciate the positive thoughts, but assuming automated technology continues to rapidly advance ahead of our collective wisdom, I see either a "terminator-esque" apocalypse or a crippling level of dependence similar to the movie "Wall-E". I generally don't care for using pop culture references to make a point, but they paint their respective pictures of dystopian futures relatively well.
