It was an unplanned pregnancy, but it was with someone who I planned and still plan to marry, so we made the best of the situation at the time. At least before he passed away.
He contracted a blood infection while hospitalized from a brain tumor, by the time they caught it and began to treat it, he was on life support and beyond recovery. There was a lot of in-between details that made the situation more complicated, but that's the short version.
I imagine that was difficult for your family. Was he born prematurely? Or was it a different complication. Don't feel obligated to answer, I understand if you would rather not.
He had a condition called Trinsomy 13, or Edward's Syndrome. It was found only the day he was born, and most babies who have it die in their first months. If they make it past being babies, they rarely live to be a kid or teen. He was a little fighter, but I believe it was better for him to pass.
There's not much to say, to be honest. I've had my time to heal, I like to think I've gleaned what little positivity I could and learned what there was to learn from the situation. It's all I could do, anything less would've been self-destructive.
