It's because it's not a bug or error.
It was deliberately put into the game to cover up digital edging and rendering artifacts.
And they can't get rid of it.
It's because it's not a bug or error. It was deliberately put into the game to cover up digital edging and rendering artifacts. And they can't get rid of it.
So why was it never in the game before and just showed up after the recent update?

They've also said they'll be fixing it.

Where?

Edited by RORYWAN13: 9/12/2016 8:26:49 PMDoesn't say that at all. In fact it doesn't even acknowledge there is an issue, just that they are aware of player reports.
-
When something's being actively investigated in a "known issues" page, yes, it is going to have a fix. It's obviously upsetting people (some more than others) and they aren't going to leave it. Literally everything else they have actively investigated have been resolved in a timely manner. A fix will come up with the hotfix we get before RoI hits. :)

I hope that's not just wishful thinking. After playing the game for over two years Bungie do not have a good track record with these things and well...if the OP is correct about threads and posts being censored it doesn't bode well.
-
OP is not correct. Nothing is being censored. That's just ridiculous. If anything was being censored the topics would be gone completely, and it certainly wouldn't be listed in that link I shared earlier. Cozmo has posted in a few other topics about the matter as well, likely over in #feedback. No censorship here, don't worry. It's not wishful thinking.
-
I've seen censorship here before many many times.
-
Then you should know that this isn't censorship. The posts are all there and it's been mentioned in a few places. I do disagree with you, because I've never seen any sort of censorship here. I have seen controversial topics get deleted because there was too much fighting and bashing in the comments, though.
-
Nope. I've seen hot potato or controversial threads being hidden many times. Especially around the time of the Luke Smith fiasco and then again with the EX items controversy leading up to TTK.
-
I'm still going to disagree with you there! But thanks for your thoughts. I've only ever seen topics go down because it's a hot topic that's causing too many fights. It's a million times easier to lock a thread than it is to go through and warn every single person who is breaking the CoC

Reading comprehension must not be taught anymore in grade school. Nothing in your link that mentions a fix
-
known issues that we are actively investigating
I think they start teaching reading comprehension pretty early, pay a bit more attention in English class, alright there bud? Known issues, actively investigating. That means that they know it's there, and are working on a fix. Everything else that has been "actively investigated" has been fixed in a reasonable timeframe.

There's your name calling, bruh. You just mentioned you haven't but there you go. lol There's no assumption, that's exactly what it means. #feedingthetrollslol

That tin foil hat must be pretty tight on your head.

Not at all. It's a common thing in videogames. One of the first thing you do to detract from digital or rendering edging or tearing is add post grain.
-
Distorting graphics to cover up distorted graphics is not a solution. If you think it is then wow.
-
Go to film school and learn about VFX and post production. Or go google it.

Wonder if that school also teaches a cleaning class. First lesson, hide it under the rug.
