Just go into any dark area, and you will notice it. Its very faint white dots, kind like static on the screen.
-
I have a 60" I play on. No fancy stuff turned on. Some of those "image enhancements" stuff on a tv will make that effect on a console that's not set up right. Go into your tv settings on that hdmi input and turn off well almost every image processing setting and see if it improves. I'll also admit I lost my xbox gold (medical issues) so I have not play for a few weeks or sense that last update. Also I'm a little near sited and don't play with glasses on so maybe I just can't see the little white dots you see. But the only time I have seen "screen flicker" like in the video it's 1. Refresh rates not set right or 2. Video chip or video RAM going bad. Or 3. A effect is turned on in the game that the video card don't support (only ever seen on a PC never a console).

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/15/2016 4:40:31 AMYes, put on your glasses. And go into Sunless Cell. You will need to have your glasses on for this. It was working perfectly fine before patch 2.4 came out. There are no extra settings on the tv that causes the artifacts. The issue is definitely in game. Definitely. And Actually it was admitted that issue exists. It just was not explained. Like always. Heck I don't care whats causing it. I just want it fixed. I want my gorgeous Destiny back.

Like I said. I don't see it. More over 1 post I seen said it's affecting random players. Means it's specific to the players console. Corrupted file in game or console OS. Screen flicker can be the up scaling to the 120 or 240 hurz. I can turn the MMC (frame smoothing) on on my tv and give my self a headache from the effect but only on games and not video. I have NEVER let me repeat NEVER seen the flickering like RWG posted in her video. Even a cheep or bad HDMI cable can make all kinds of weird artifacts appear. Cheep simple and easy thing for you to check. With or with out my glasses (thin things that really make no difference to the point I was told I really don't need to ware there) I still don't see a flicker.

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/15/2016 7:59:38 PMIf i had had a bad hdmi cable wont you think i would have noticed it in other games or watching videos. Just stop dude. You suggestions are wrong. Cozmo acknowledged there is a problem with graininess in dark areas.
-
Ok I still don't see it.

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/16/2016 12:47:17 AMYou are not having the issue then. We are. Which part about this issue appearing after patch 2.4 is hard to understand. This is not related to HDMI cables. Yea maybe you got a bad cable. This is not the issue. But since we are discussing HDMI cables lets get going on this. Whether you have a $100 cable or a $5 cable, if they meet the same specification requirements there should be no difference,” says Jeff. “From a technical point of view they are exactly the same.” Source: http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/are-expensive-hdmi-cables-worth-buying/ It goes on to say: What you paying for is quality. A better quality product will last longer. My cable is brand new and had no issue what so ever. I have probably a medium range high speed hdmi cable. Some people consider their TV setup like getting married so they want the best of everything. Having a 24k gold plated or whatever cable doesn't make it any better. You just falling for their marketing. I have 4 HDMI cables in both my houses. The only difference between them is their length, and the style. No difference in terms of picture quality. Have a great day.
-
Yea I'm sorry. Tech background countless home theater setups. Cheeper cables have smaller wires, less shielding, poor conductivity, more likely to fail. Most stores tell you there is no difference due to the fact they make more money off the generic cheep cables than the better ones. I remember I setup. Guy was trying to save a little money and got a 20 ft hdmi wal-mart knock off cable. Constant problems. After trying 5 cheep cables from wal-mart he took my advice and got the pricey monster cable. Every issue he had went away with the new cable. You get what you pay for. I'm sorry your having a issue. But, there are stuff that can make even a small issue look a lot worse, and a lot of that is the software in tv and the console.

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/16/2016 1:52:13 AMThere is no difference in the cables. They all made under the same specifications. If they didn't, then they wouldn't be able to pass the signal. And then Your cable would be worthless.
-
Nope. And spec is just the min required. Learn how electrically impulse in a computer environment work.
-
Edited by Unforgiven: 9/16/2016 8:59:56 AMLol. How do they work. Enlighten me. Computers have impulses now. Ok. Please go on and explain to me how they work. If the HDMI cable isn't passing the signal then you can't get a clear picture. The minimum specifications for the cable, provide the full signal. There is no difference in the cable. As long as the HDMI cable isn't too long, and meets the current high speed specifications. It's fine. A basic cable from Amazonbasics is just as good a any other cable you can buy for $75. It may wear out quicker, but its picture quality is going to be just the same. As long as the cable is not too long. Because longer cables of 10 feet or more start losing the signal. This is all well known and documented online. And thicker cables are actually not better or worse, because the signal passes though it either way. If it did not meet specifications, then it wouldn't be able to pass the signal. And Gold is not much better than regular. In fact the signal is digital so it makes no difference whatsoever. I don't care how many home theater setups you had. Sometimes cables come dead on arrival. This can happen with any cable. But happens more with cheaper cables because they don't care about testing them. Most of the time if you buy a cable on Amazon and it comes dead on arrival just return it for a refund. Easy. Please tell me I am wrong.

You are in so many way. But, your the one having trouble not me. I you don't want to take the advice of some one that works in the felid for years and have tested countless stuff that's your problem. This is not the 90's any more. How and what stuff makes up wiring in a digital age makes a big difference.

dude read the weekly update. Thry are depliying a fix for the film grain issue on monday. Peace
-
Dude. Try and read and UNDERSTAND what I said. I never said there was no problem. I said I don't see it. I was only suggesting that there are other factors and settings that may be making the effect look worse to you. Me same game same files = very little or no effect. You same game same files = so bad you can't play See the difference. A small problem CAN BE made worse by factors on your end.

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/17/2016 1:11:36 AMAre you still talking to me? Really. You have a learning disability? I mean no offense if you do. I can play just fine. Its a graphical issue. You don't have good reading comprehension. What made me respond to you was your know it all attitude, like you knew what the problem was, and your constant annoying suggestions, made me want to put you in your place. Once again a patch for the graphical issue will be released on monday. Have a good day.
-
You did not put me in any place. My suggestions were valid as a way to reduce the severity of the issue. Like I said on my set up I don't see any I the issues other have posted. My setup is tuned right to reduce. Enjoy your bad attitude and know nothing take in life. Muted.

Edited by Unforgiven: 9/16/2016 6:40:52 PMthe issue with the patch 2.4... Lots have reported the issue. Tired of repeating myself. Do you get it?
-
Edited by Unforgiven: 9/15/2016 7:54:46 PMim referring to the graininess in dark areas. And its a software problem. That fix you suggested will not work. The hdmi cable is brand new and of highest quality. btw there is no difference between a $75 and a $15 hdmi cable. If you think there is you are misinformed. Tired of knowitall that knows next to nothing. COSMO JUST ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON A FIX IN ANOTHER POST.
-
There is a difference in the hdmi cables. I have seen and experienced it myself. I will never use a cheep cable again. If you have not run into the issue yet then good for you. I also said there could be other things that's making it show up worse on your tv than on my tv. Still it was just a suggestion. I'm not seein the problem. I seen it was a little random as to who it affects. Maybe it just has not kicked in on me yet. But affecting a "random" population vs every one means it not just a simple wrong setting. Maybe I have not done what ever triggers it. I hope I don't.
-
Im not referring to the flicker.
-
I was after watching the posted video. Your talking "a". I'm talking "b".
-
Good at least we agreed on something. Tech background. SMH
