If VR is a hit, maybe. Im still interest in VR solely as a game enhancer for normal first person games as a means to turn the camera and be more immersed, but if its just tech demo type games for ever like Ive been seeing, count me out

1 ReplyIt doesn't look like you can upgrade the hard drive so no
-
I'm getting a 4k TV, so maybe. I'm not getting for a miniscule upgrade, as my TV is 720p. This is why you should show people what their fucking Christmas presents are before it's too late for a refund.

Edited by Xemtra: 9/13/2016 12:26:34 AMIt would make my decision alot easier if Bungie would come out and say they are patching a ps4 pro mode in... i do have one on pre-order w/ amazon

I dont have a ps4 yet so I might get it After I get a better PC
-
Eventually, i'm sure. Only after my existing ps4 dies.
-
Nope, won't be bothering with another console. I've got my PS4 but i'll only be using that for certain games so won't be renewing PS+ on it. With Xbox games coming to PC and Sony not doing much to make me want to give them any more money i'll be sticking with my PC.
-
Hopefully Destiny 2 will be on PC because that's where I'm going, I'm not going to be part of the herd that throws £400 every three years for a slightly better console as well as the yearly network subscriptions which is £580 altogether every three years not to mention how overpriced the games are lately.

12 RepliesThere's no point. If you already have a PS4. There's no point in getting a Scorpio either. The Scorpio is significantly more powerful than PS4 and X1. It's not a new generation kind of leap. But it's a good bump. And it's a little more powerful than the Pro. The only thing you're going to get on the Scorpio and Pro is better resolution, and for some games, SLIGHTLY better graphics. Maybe. Because the fact is. Developers cannot use all the extra power for their games because they still need to be "on-par" with the PS4 and X1. And most of the extra power is all being spent to force theses new consoles to run the games at higher resolutions. If you want to drop half a grand or whatever for a clearer picture. Go ahead.

3 RepliesNope. Already have a PS4. After denying PS4 users mods, I'm planning on getting an XB1S.
-
Not until I have a reason to upgrade. My PS4 works perfectly fine right now so I don't need the newest one.

4 RepliesI love my PS4 and hate my XBox ONE's (I own two). I only like my XBox ONE's because I can play off an external drive (I only have digital games). The PS4 runs games smoother in my opinion and I just seem to have a lot less problems in the main menus (XBONE seems to spaz when just clicking or moving around). All of this being said, with how Microsoft really did a nice job on the XBox ONE S (I'm still not getting it though) the PS4 Pro looks pointless to me. I'd rather wait, keep my PS4, and buy Project Scorpio then sell my crappy XBox ONE's. I can easily wait another year and just save my money especially since all my games will work that are adding up in my 4TB drive =)

No and not renewing play station plus next month and also so pissed off about mods for fallout and skyrim and always had PlayStation but not anymore once I get some cash buy an Xbox one s . Also I think gt sport will be a disappointment as I've always loved gran turismo as well polyphony and Sony have the lost the -blam!-ing plot
-
Depends on if Sony allows mods later on.

I need a ps4, so I'm looking at my options. My best tv is a 1080p 60hz, so I won't be able to take advantage of UHD or HDR. I'm thinking I'll get a high end tv once I leave college and move into a home, but that in itself will be at least 4 years, maybe 5. It's highly possible (probable even) that a new console will be out by then. With that thinking, there's no need for a pro. However, there's no telling if Sony's next console will be BC, and I might eventually get used to a 4kHDR60hz game. Would I want to invest an extra $100 now to preserve an experience later? Probably not. Wow. I just rationalized the purchase of a cheaper console on an internet forum. My life has reached a new low. Nice chat.

Waiting for PS5
-
No, its a waste of money for me.
-
Yes because I'm planning to buy a ps4 this year and I'll want to but the newer one
-
Maybe - https://youtu.be/LCHllTqfxbI
-
Yes, but only so I can give my friend my old PS4 so we can play together
-
Honestly I might. I share all my consoles with my roommates and I kinda want to get one for my room.
-
I'm happy with my PS4 no need to "upgrade"
-
This isn't a new console generation. If 4k fully becomes the standard or my PS4 breaks, I'll consider it. Until then, buying a new console is a chuck-it-in-the-fvck-it-bucket.
-
2 RepliesNo for now, but if many future games run at 60fps only on ps4pro, then i reconsider. Then again if multiplayer modes are still at 30fps, it's gonna be painful when you get used to 60.
-
I'd rather get the Xbox One S or Scorpio. Both are better hardware wise.
-
I don't know. I need to see more of just how much of a difference there is in games. I also want to see the NX. I'm leaning more towards the console that's brand new than an upgraded version of one I already have.
