My title says it all. No many ghost bullets for me to even want to use it over TLW or Thorn
-
I think the range is fine, but it needs a big stability buff
-
Hawkmoon needs the stability and range of Eyasluna. Not just range.
-
Such as it is, the Hawkmoon has just a perceptibly better (a few feet more) range than most hand cannons right now (I tested every hand cannon I have on yellow bar Hive ultras to map range fall-off and impact values). If you carefully-carefully pace your shots, let your opponent get to within spitting distance, and be spectacular in your aim, you'll get a kill now and then. Most other primaries will serve you better.
-
All hand cannons do. They need to go back to where they were.

Edited by DrivebyMoNkeY: 9/1/2016 5:34:04 PMRemove bloom. It wont make hand cannons over powered but solves the ghost bullets.
We don't want this happening again https://youtu.be/jJ3XwizTqDw
-
I believe it's fine besides ghost bullets.
-
I think the issue isn't range so much as it's the crazy increased bloom the HC class received. Just take away that ridiculous bloom and I'm happy as a clam. Or other invertebrate.
-
Just make sure that TFC gets buffed with it. DON'T FORGET THE FIRST CURSE
-
How about red death and hard light 1st
-
TBH with you, Hawkmoon is as balanced as it's ever been. No real shortcomings or overpowered notions.

Edited by Blink: 8/31/2016 7:17:04 PMHave any of the people claiming ghost bullets with Hawkmoon considered they're not riding the recoil pattern effectively? I have a friend who says Hawkmoon has some of the worst recoil and accuracy he's ever experienced yet I find it just as accurate as any HC of that archetype. If only we had private matches to actually put it to the test. Owait..
-
Hawkmoon needs a major buff. Even the best destiny pvp players do use it. The recoil is terrible on the Hawkmoon. Also stability and range needs a buff to keep up with other weapons. So stop nerfing hawkmoon bungie.
-
Personally, I think Hand Cannons are fine right now. The only problem with Hand Cannons is that TLW just absolutely dominates in the optimal HC range. Not saying I want TLW to get another nerf or anything, but it would be nice if they really forced the issue with hip-fire. If they don't wanna give us the bonus for using Hip fire, fine. Stupid, but fine. But there should be some serious drawback to using ADS if you aren't going to have Bonus Hipfire Damage. I know it sounds like I'm saying "I don't wanna nerf it, but nerf it." But really, I just want TLW to be a hip fire gun. As it stands right now, there's no real reason to hipfire...which takes the fun out of the gun.
-
If the Hawkmoon had anymore range it would be too godly and people would be crying for a nerf. Learn to control the recoil and you can 2 shot just about anything in the crucible. People saying you need to be in a shotgun range to kill is not true.
-
Honestly, I can't say it does. I think it's balanced where it's at right now.
-
Negative... if anything HCs need a range nerf again. They are too easy to triple tap at range. While ARs struggle. The only way Hawkmoon gets a buff, is if all ARs become viable with better range and damage.
-
Well it's range stat is deceptive, it rivals any other HC in that archetype though you can't get a "god roll" on it as all Hawkmoons are the same.
-
No. It really doesnt. Get a byronic hero vendor roll or a good appelant.
-
I dunno, it'd be too potent then with it's luck in the chambers i think.
-
I think it's fine right where it is. In the April Update, Hawkmoon got an increase in range by 10.
-
I disagree: I only use hawkmoon over all other hand cannons in crucible - I have no problem getting my 10 kills for Shanxx weekly bounties- usually in one match (and I'm not a good PvP player)
-
use it with aggressive ballistics and go crush some guardians
-
Exactly. It had a decent range in year one. Now it´s a -blam!-ed up gun that´s not worth the exotic slot.
-
But it really doesn't need a range buff... the real issue is hand cannon bloom and ghost rounds make them useless weapons of choice regardless of game mode. No point using them if they don't function properly.
-
I'd rather have them return the stability that was taken away recently it was perfect before this recent nerf
