The most ridiculous "balance" changes ever.

Now, I'm gonna start this off with a little story about another game. This game is called Mass Effect. There are 3 games in it currently and Bioware is working on another one called Mass Effect Andromeda. The first 3 games are all part of a trilogy but the 4th one has nothing to do with it. So if you don't know about Mass Effect, it's a 3rd person, cover based, sci-fi shooter. The entire series is focused completely on the story and its development through the choices that you make as the game's main character and protagonist, Commander Shepherd. So after the first two games released with nothing but the single player story mode, you'd think that would be the case for the third game. But it's not. Mass Effect 3 released as the first game in the series to have any sort of multiplayer activity. This multiplayer activity was not a PvP zone though. It was a wave survival mode with up to 3 other players. It was against only AI enemies. As the game host, you selected what map to play on, what enemy faction to fight against, and what difficulty you'd be playing with. Now, a little off topic but still needs to be explained; the weapons. The weapons of ME3 (Mass Effect 3) were setup with a rarity tier system similar to Destiny and other loot based shooters. (To clear this up because I'm sure someone will yell at me if I don't, ME3 is not a loot based shooter. It does still use the rarity tier system of one.) You'd start with blue weapons, or commons. Then move on to silver, or uncommon. Next were gold, or rares. Finally, comes the best, black weapons, or ultra rares. So now that I've got that out of the way, comes my explanation as to why I explained all that. Bioware nerfed some of these weapons. A game that was purely fought against an AI enemy, had weapons nerfed. Here's an example of one I remember: The weapon was called the N7 Typhoon. It was an ultra rare assault rifle. At its peak, it was considered one of the best weapons in the game. It had a very high DPS, especially for an assault rifle with a massive magazine and high RoF and a ton of reserve ammo. The only drawback, was its initial RoF was slow. Think Suros Regime with focused fire. That kinda slow. But as you held down the trigger it started picking up its RoF and with it, it's DPS. At its max RoF, it could probably be in between a Doctrine of Passing and a Haakon's Hatchet. Closer to the DoP though. It had decent damage but combine with that insane RoF and massive mag size, it's DPS was phenomenal! Then Bioware nerfed it. They nerfed it so hard that it was laughed at and considered one of the worst ultra rare weapons in the game. It went from being at the top position all the way to the bottom. Sound familiar? So at the time, I thought this was the most ridiculous balance patch I'd ever seen and would ever see. Nerfing the apex weapon so hard that it goes all the way to the bottom of the chain just like that. One update. Not to mention nerfing something in a PvE multiplayer. AI don't complain. To answer my previous question, yes this sounds familiar. Or it should at least. This is what Bungie has done over and over and over again. They've taken the top thing at the time, and completely destroyed it every time. Because of this, Bungie has now taken the title for most ridiculous balance patches ever. I didn't think it'd be possible to take it from a company who nerfed the best weapon into oblivion in a PvE environment but they have. So Bungie maybe next time either don't nerf, which is what the majority of your community wants, or take your time and slowly approach things when it comes to nerfs. It shouldn't have gotten to this point where we can predict what's gonna be nerfed and be terrified for it because we don't know if it'll be usable or not after the nerf. Example: Sunbreakers Did they need toned down a bit? Yes. Did they need and deserve all of what they got? Hell no! Sunsingers Did they need anything? According to your data, no. So listen to the data. Numbers don't lie! They aren't outperforming anything so why nerf them!? These are great examples of what I'm talking about. Either don't nerf, sunsingers, or take a slower and more methodical approach to nerfing things, sunbreaker. Also, I want to add this in here, please for the love of god; BUFF SOLAR WIND!!!! Well that's not how I imagined my first rant post going but there it is.
