I have approx. 80 Legendary Engrams in the vault and about 15-20 at the post office. I know I will get TTk stuff but my Cyptarch rank will go up and I hope to get a few RoI engrams as a result.

Which is exactly what we would get RIGHT NOW by cracking them. We save them to be able to rank cryptarch en masse in order to get new things from those rank up packages. Now, stop telling people how to play their game and forthe love of God, stop yelling.

Ya, I'll be decrypting all of my legendary and exotic engrams and leveling up my cryptarch for new items. What I don't use I'll shard for legendary marks to buy new items from vendors. But you do you genius.

First of all, it might work to save engrams. It did in TTK. Secondly, even if not new items, they may decrypt at a higher light value, especially exotics that are moving forward. Thirdly, if they don't, saving engrams is a great way to "bank" marks above the 200 cap. In other words, you can buy multiple items from the venders and level up faster. Fourthly, tone it down a bit.

Funny a lot of people said the same and posted this same crap pre TTK....then on day of launch plenty of my friends and people all over turned in all those sweet engrams and had tons of New exotics and legendaries with high light. I'll take my chances I have plenty of space and nothing I need right now so hording them in my vault does me no harm :) thanks for the consideration though but I'll be enjoying all the sweet loot

What would be the point in decoding now? There's an off chance that those exotics might drop at a higher light level, even if they're TTK exotics. There's a guarantee that I'll level up the Cryptarch. From those packages, I could get a few free (and new) legendaries or exotics. For me, saving engrams is the best thing right now. There's literally no other use or need for them at this point. I may as well save them. The bigger question here is why are you getting so worked up over what someone else does on their account? What's your vested interest?

is there a problem with dechrypting them later? if I get the same stuff as I would now then there is no harm in waiting.. but, the possibility of added xp, possible new gear or exotics means I will hold on to it just in case..

But exotic engrams still decode according to your light level. So while it might be TTK gear, it could be over 335.

so...we should use them NOW and get....oh yeah legendary marks and exotic shards...rather than waiting a few weeks when we will NEED legendary marks and exotic shards. I see your logic. I have three 335 characters. much better to keep trying for 335 stuff now that will be completely useless in three weeks than saving them and building up my Cryptarch rep, getting marks and engrams, right?
