Now I want Bungie to release their numbers. I want to see who's still playing out of the original 25 million registered characters, and how many new people buy Destiny with the next expansion, etc. But it's like they're afraid of releasing the numbers...

Actually the number has gone up to 30 million, how many of those still actually play idk but yeah, I read that the number of registered users is up to 30 million

Well, according to destinytracker.com, 1 million played PvE and 700k played PvP yesterday
-
That's interesting. Is that unique logins? Either way less than 2 million players out of 25/30 million isn't great...

TBH i'm not sure, I think those numbers are good for bungie, I mean how old is the game and if just half those players bought rise of iron, its still a good money spinner for them.

What are they afraid of exactly?

I'd assume a lot of people would say "Oh that's proof that Destiny is dying" or something dumb like that. Or maybe they can't release stuff like that because it would be bad for business or something. I don't know. Personally, I don't see any reason why they haven't shown stuff like that. You would think they would be proud to show off the number of people who are still playing if they are as big as almost everyone here claims them to be.

You only talk numbers at the beginning or when numbers are more than expected. This way people say, o it is popular and will start playing as well. You don't say, so we have over 30 million users in existence. But in the past month only 1 million have played. That doesn't make people want to play. You say things, like, our community is strong.

Well I'd say bungie is focused on destiny 2 at the moment.
