Here's a list of my ideas. Many of which are similar to sun breaker titans, but that's because I feel many of their abilities make more sense to be on a sunsinger.
Goal: make sunsingers a true support class while improving pvp lethality at close range.
The melee. Remove delay nerf on flame shield. Remove cool down buff on solar wind and instead buff to make reach slightly farther and push more significantly. Increase the cool down buff on brimstone even further during super and make the explosion leave a solar flare.
Grenades. Remove some magnetivity from fusion grenades but give a somewhat bigger explosion. Remove nerfs to fire bolt and somewhat increase targeting radius but make it so that if you escape the "ring" the bolt is unable to reach you.
Radiance. With those balances the super is better but let's make the skill tree more viable. Add a burning aoe -similar to the arc damage of electrostatic mind on storm caller- when radiant skin is chosen. For song of flame add a very significant boost to recovery for nearby allies and allies get a shield when passing through a solar grenade created during super.
6th column perks. increase Viking funeral damage buff to 10% per stack (and in PVE ALSO increase the burn time by 1 tick per stack). Replace sunburst with a perk that spawns a solar flare upon self resurrections and also spawns a solar grenade when you land a jump during radiance.
8th column. Angel of light lasts a bit longer and when you stop ads'ing you drop down faster.

Okay I'll give you my opinion....... Sunsinger is not a support class. It is a chameleon class. It can be a support class. It can be a lot of things because the skill tree was so versatile. What they need to do is put everything back the way it was but buff some of the other perks. I run a very effective but unusual build and I love it. No burn or overshield in my build. People need to be motivated to explore the tree not forced. Those that are too narrow minded need to stop making it something that it isn't. I can give you thoughts on buffs and changes but first the concept that it has to be a support class is silly. I hate hearing that.

I think each super should be changed with whatever perk you make it do. As of now Sunsingers animation to use radiance goes better with fireborn. While for radiant skin I think the animation should be phoenix wings wrapped around the warlock. Yes they become a bigger hit box but they also have the damage reduction. As for song of flame I always thought there should be an indication on the range on the floor. Be it flames flicking in a circle or a little icon above allies heads.

Still one of the best classes in the game for PVE if played correctly. I run Sunbreakers, Solar Grenades, Song of Flame and Touch of Flame. Excellent build for crowd control and orb production. As a bonus your teammates are also buffed by Song of Flame if they're near you.

Really good idea. But bungie won't do it because I don't think they read these comments. This is why I hate bungie for the nerf they gave Sunsinger but your idea is so good.In hope they read it.

I like most of what you have to say, but I would not buff the grenades (I do really like the idea for viking funeral). The fusion grenade is already amazing, and the firebolt does work, just not the same work as when it left people absolute. It is still a beast. If anything, heart of praxic fire and that perk that grants increased grenade recharge need to be buffed instead for those people who really want to focus on the grenades in their super. Perhaps there could be a universal buff to all grenades while in the super (fusion grenades cause enemies to explode on kill like after a golden gun kill, solar grenades either do faster burn or have a larger radius, and firebolts activate faster upon hitting the ground when super is active).
