The next EA?

I've been defending Bungie since the launch of Destiny. Since the beta actually. I've purchased every expansion, finished every hard raid, had a great time doing it. But now I have to seriously question whether Destiny 2 is for me. Not because it doesn't look fun, but because the strength of Bungie's character seems undeserving of my money any longer. Even though I've loved playing Destiny I always felt the 1-year exclusive content was the worst of all the bad deals out there. I've never liked timed-exclusive DLC as a practice, but at least it was usually 30 days, this is a year. And worse yet, the players affected by it are the ones who made Bungie rich in the first place. I found that annoying and felt that it was on shaky moral ground, but still, I didn't deny myself the game, I bought it. Now things have gotten worse. First of all, there will be more exclusive content with the next expansion, and secondly, they have changed their mind about giving us the content that was exclusive in the last one. By the time it comes out, Destiny 2 will be out, at which point who cares about that content anymore? The message is now "I know we told you you'd get it, I know we told you when you were getting it, but you're not getting it until it is completely meaningless and you won't play it anyway." Your actions have gone from being somewhat annoying to anti-consumer. You liked us at some point, but you've decided instead we're worthy of your derision. When it comes time to vote for the worst, most anti-consumer company this year, I won't be voting for EA. They've been working hard to regain consumer trust after winning that title. Hopefully you will too.

  • You realize that EA is a publisher and Bungie is a developer right? Destiny's publisher is Activision. So if you want to vote for someone, vote for Activision because they handle that aspect of Destiny. Not happy about PS exclusives? Activision. Not happy with DLC pricing? Activision. Hate the marketing campaign for Destiny? You guessed it, Activision. Activision. Activision. Activision....
