It all started in the year 700, when I was born. There were 9 different families, each one being a different number, 1-9. I was born into Number 7, the Lucky family. The leader of the Seven Family is always the luckiest seven, no exceptions. However, one day, the leader said he didn't want to lead anymore, leaving a spot of power open. Me, being the naturally lucky person, wanted in on this. We have a rather special way to find the luckiest person. We have a little "Luck Feud." I'm sure none of you have seen pure luck. It is a bright yellow liquid that is very reactive. What we do is, we INJECT WITH NEEDLES some pure luck into our bloodstream. And by "some," I mean "up to gallons of luck." We get the competitors in an enclosed room. There are usually no more than 5 people. We each get multiple syringes filled with luck. When an alarm goes off, we start injecting luck into our bodies. If you can't handle the amount of luck you end up injecting, you, well, you violently explode. So here I am, sitting in a chair, next to the other four people, waiting anxiously for that alarm. Then, there is an announcement, "We will be starting in one minute. Prepare yourself." I go ahead and grab a syringe and get into position. Then, suddenly, BEEP!! The alarm goes off! We all start injecting it, slowly. Injecting it too fast causes another violent explosion. Is it painful? Of course! But it's for the luck! You will become the leader! It was that thought that kept me going. One syringe gone. Two syringes. Three. Four. Five. By this time, three of the people have given up, leaving it up to just me and another person. He is skilled. Six. Seven. The feeling is a mixture of happiness and confusion, with a little mango taste. Eight. The other guy seems to be getting dizzy. I am getting dizzy. I don't know what will happen. Nine.
