Why are people still terrible at king's fall

So the title sounds a little harsh, but I'm honestly just baffled and looking for genuine answers. The King's Fall raid has been out for almost a calendar year. However, there are still a lot of guardians who are unable to perform the platform jumping at daughter's or know which plate to go back to (the argument over plates or numbers being a big problem at daughter's). Question 1: Why do people insist on doing numbered plates at daughter's? A good group should be able to adapt to either method. However, when you're in a PUG or with less experienced players keeping the same plates is the safest option. No one has to stop and look for the relic and then count until they figure out which plate to run to. You just run to the same plate unless you're torn and then at that time you would call out your plate position for the previous torn person to cover that plate. Easy Peasy. AND YET people insist on doing numbers so that these newbs can all stand around with pee dripping into their tireless striders not knowing where to run to. I don't get it. Question 2: Why can't people platform jump after all of this time? Enough said. WHAT THE F!!!! I did LFG last night and some titan put a bubble on top of the group trying to shoot at Ir Anuk. OMG. Needless to say it was too frustrating to take my baby huntress (who I created on Saturday) through the raid. Before King's Fall was released I believe Bungie put out a stat saying that only around 17% of guardians had completed a raid. I would bet that number is even lower with the King's Fall Raid and (in my opinion) is the reason the Rise of Iron raid will be dumbed down for people and will not be *as* fun to run. Instead of requiring skill and execution (as well as light level) the RoI raid will see success more based on how high your light level is rather than light level and performance in the raid. WHY is this necessary? Are people no longer born with opposable thumbs? Information on the new raid was taken from http://gamerant.com/destiny-rise-iron-raid-level-wrath-machine/ which is taking it from the Game Informer interview. This is the internet so I'm sure all of you snarks will have something to say but I am not trying to be mean in any way here, I am genuinely befuddled.

  • Wow I haven't seen that article before. I think that is a weakness on Bungies part. I love VOG and Crota, but Kings Fall was great because people had to work together as a team. By the way VOG requires working as a team and knowing what to do as well. Crota was the only one where u could just sit back and not apply much effort. I would have liked the new raid to resemble the Kings Fall mechanics. Sad to see Bungie catering to all the lonely sad no friend having crybabies in the community. "It's to hard!" Crybabies! Go play Pokemon go.
