I have so many engrams in my postmaster that are useless for the rest of eternity. It would be nice to not have to pick them up to dismantle/bring them to the cryptarch, so could there be an available option to dismantle directly in the postmaster?
If you want to get fancy what you could do is add a button that simply wipes your postmaster completely.
Whatchu think?

Frankly I see no reason why we still have to take rare engrams to the cryptarch anymore. And even when it comes to legendaries and exotics, getting loot while standing in front of old stingy is no fun. In any other loot-based game you get the loot out in the field. Why should this game be any different? Once you get to a certain rank with the cryptarch, uncommon engrams automatically decrypt. They can make it so rares automatically decrypt at rank 10, and legendaries and exotics at rank 25. You'd probably still have overflow to the postmaster, unless you just stop after picking up every rare item to dismantle it. But then you could dismantle from the post master. That way you are still getting the armor and weapon parts, because you're not just deleting engrams. And at the same time, you no longer have to run laps back and forth between the postmaster and Rahool. This would render Rahool somewhat useless after you get to a certain rank, but that's no different from half the other vendors anyway. And let's be honest, it's not like you're missing out on much without the ability to rank him up anymore. I probably go through 50 of his packages before I see a legendary engram drop. I'm just sick of inventory management being such a pain.

While we're at it, maybe to send directly to vault for later use? Example: I don't have to carry any chroma on my characters, let alone the many color choices we currently have. Can I just send that pile of orange chroma directly to the vault and use it when I want rather than: Goto Postmaster See chroma Go to the vault, Store some mats Go back to postmaster Grab chroma Go back to vault Store chroma Grab mats again. It's annoying, even when doing from the app...

Yes. Bump

I came to the feedback forum to post the same thing. Long overdue.

Well I wouldn't do this engrams. But its annoying when there is a shader or emblem at the postmaster and you need to dismantle one in your inventory because it's full. Same with weapons/armor.

Blue engrams are a great way to gain ranking, motes, and weapon and armor materials. Especially if you rank the blues first before decryption.
-
Oh hell yes
-
Why would you want to dismantle the postmaster?! All he does is hold all your crap...
-
Maybe you should just take the time to empty it, or just not have a full inventory.
-
I''d love to dismantle the postmaster. Hes a piece of junk.
-
But this might affect pvp. Let's wait and do what the streamers tell us
Dismantle Postmaster
What did Kadi do to you? Oh you meant engrams, uh ok sure
-
I'm just tired of blues all together

I think that we as Guardians should increasingly be able to decrypt our own engrams in the field as we rank up our Cryptarch level. This should get us to a point where at high Cryptarch levels we only ever need to visit a Master Cryptarch in order to decrypt a small percentage of engrams - like exotics and some legendaries. This would partially solve the problem as long as you kept on top of dismantling the items that you pick up in game.
-
I think it needs to be bigger- you can only run a limited number of strikes, and can't even run a complete raid without filling it.
-
Yes please...
-
Technically they can't do it, it's not in your inventory till you pick it up. Just manage your inventory better.

Please listen 2 this guy

Edited by RedKain243: 8/24/2016 12:18:36 PMYes please, dismantle and decrypt from postmaster. Or an option to automatically dismantle blues on pickup.

They should have an option in game, whether you're running strikes or playing pvp you should be able to dismantle the items at the postmaster without having to go to the tower to do so.
