From what I heard, the game is boring repetive as in fly find species mine rinse and repeat. Most planets are the same just with certain color swaps. And the lying bastard lied about multiplayer. So yes it is justified.

With that said, the game is not without flaws, and has mechanics that aren't explained well in game and because of that people who don't put in the time to discover them brush the game off as "boring" or lacking. There are other things I take issues with personally like not being able to crash my ship and not being able to rearrange my installed tech without destroying them first and having to rebuild them if i want to move them around (which might add to the grind for some). Despite all that, I still find the game engrossing and fun. The game is getting stuff that was "promised" added in the next patch, and will only be getting better from here on out. I see the game going the same way minecraft has since its vanilla days. If you're skeptical, don't brush the game off. If it interest you, but are concerned with wasting 60 dollars hold off on it, but track it. See what they add and what they fix. Hell, I didn't like minecraft until its two years after its release. Hoping it wont take that long for people to see what i see in NMS, but I definitely see it getting the minecraft treatment down the road.
