This is really just about perspective. This doesn't really require a scientific explanation. Just stand outside a city and hold your hand up to a building. Your hand is bigger than the building. I don't think a small star close to Earth could provide enough heat unless it was trapped in the atmosphere.
How do seasons work on a flat earth? Can it pivot/tilt? Or does poorly defined orbit or the sun in your theories shift?

Edited by Krishnas Prophet: 8/20/2016 8:54:06 PMThese are good questions. I find it odd that science if fine with settling for "its just a coincidence" regarding the relative positions of the sun and moon. It makes more sense that they are roughly the same size, smaller, and closer to the Flat Earth. If I used "its a coincidence" in my arguments, no one would let me rest. But its ok when science does it. Regarding seasons: Q. How do you explain seasons? Also, how do you account for perpetual daylight in the norther and southern hemispheres? A. I touched on the seasons above. Seasons are caused by the variable intensity of light emitted by the sun as it moves above earth's surface. As the sun's path widens and contracts, each portion of the earth receives a disproportionate amount of light. This causes the seasons. The northern "hemisphere" receives constant daylight during the northern summer. The southern "hemisphere" likewise receives perpetual light during the southern summer. The suns orbital path is such that the equator receives an almost constant supply of light. As to whether the Flat earth moves: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/206986418?sort=0&page=0 I am currently working on a video that explains this visually...

Edited by shell: 8/20/2016 9:10:40 PMI think it would make more sense for it to just tilt. No matter where you are in Earth, the sun is never directly above you, except possibly on the solstice/equinox/whatever the hell it's called when the sun reaches it's highest zenith. If the sun rotated directly above the Earth, I could fly directly under it and countinu following it. Satellites do not show the sun orbiting close to Earth, and sattalite sare definitely accurate. They have to be in order for the global positioning system to work. Although I do believe the moon landing was faked, humans have been to space as evidenced by sattalites.
Why did my phone want to say Seattleite every time I wrote sattalites? I don't think that "Space Needle" was meant to be taken literally.
Sorry for the long response time...
I think it would make more sense for it to just tilt. As I said, the sun "expanding" and "contracting" in its orbit can explain seasons equally well. As for flying in a plane, I think the same effect is possible on a round earth as well.
Satellites do not show the sun orbiting close to Earth, and sattalite sare definitely accurate. They have to be in order for the global positioning system to work. Although I do believe the moon landing was faked, humans have been to space as evidenced by sattalites.
I am highly suspect of satellite data. All satellites are run by NASA or massive corporations. Why believe that? Imagine the profits to be made. Global positioning could work through the triangulation of cell towers, which work great on the Flat earth, as they have much greater line of sight.
Spell correct sucks. lol.
Why have we never seen the sun expand and contract the way you believe it does? Why is there no proof of anything you say? Why do you refuse to believe basic fundamental physics?

Edited by shell: 8/22/2016 8:34:17 PMWhile I can't argue with your first statement, as Im not exactly educated on how the sun works in your theory, I do know that a cell tower is not powerful enough to map entire regions with miles of empty space. If cell towers could power GPS, then more people would believe in this theory, as hundreds of thousands of people with no care about the shape of the Earth work on and with cell towers daily, and they have no reason not to tell the truth. Sure, I guess the government could be paying NASA to lie, but why would a man working with communications equipment lie? Also, cell towers? Really? Why a communications device? Does that mean I can call someone with my GPS or get free GPS on my phone as long as I'm in range of a cell tower? Does the military used an advanced GPS to intercept enemy messages? Can I use a GPS to contact the International Space Station and ask them about the Earth's shape? I'm not trying to be insulting, but it's kind of funny. Some other device might work, but a cell tower can't really detect landmass or roads in detail.

Technically you could do the same on the round earth

Sure. I'll answer more in depth in a bit. Sorry m8.
