Bungie needs to realize their game, their baby, is going to be synonymous with the words lag and cheaters instead of being considered one of the greatest games ever. When I talk to people who play this game and I ask them, what's the first word that comes to mind when you hear Destiny? Most say lag. That's pretty -blam!-ing sad Bungie.

While lag might be frustrating, I can only see 1 video where you died due to lag AND could do nothing about it. Let me break them down in the order in which I saw them : 1.To me, it appeared as though you shot your rocket too far in front of your target. In fact, lag may have seemed to help your aim as it seemed as though he moved closer to your rocket after you initially shot it. 2.With your Party Crasher, it looked like you aimed too low. You must remember that pellets spread above AND below where you aim. Even with God roll stats, enough pellets would have missed him to not allow you to get the kill. 3.In this video, it didn't look as though you hit nearly enough shots to get the kills on the guy you were shooting at. The first thing I'd note is that you were shooting while airborne. This is something you should avoid doing with any weapon other than a handcannon, side arm, shotgun, or rocket launcher. The only exception would be if you're using a fusion rifle with Icarus. Even after you landed though, you proceeded to miss most of your shots. You only landed about 10 to 15 shots and he had an overshield as well. Sorry, but there's a lot you could've done on this one; even if he didn't take immediate damage, you still could've killed him before someone else killed you. 4.This is the only scenario I saw in which I thought that you couldn't do anything to avoid dying here. You had no line of sight of him to know he was there, and you died almost instantly before you could realize what was going on. 5.If you look earlier in the video, you can distinctly see the sniper glare. I've seen this situation happen to other players many times, and it's the true explanation as to why "snipers can shoot through walls."What happened was that the sniper actually shot you while you were able to see the sniper glare, but the shot didn't register until much later. It didn't register until you were actually behind the wall, making it look like he shot through it. This actually puts the sniper at a disadvantage since thy are dying later than you should. Sometimes in this small window, you have the opportunity to kill the sniper, but that's beside the point for this argument. I didn't mean to sound offensive, but in nearly every scenario, there was something you could have done to avoid dying, despite the lag. So maybe you should consider that those who are good at this game really are talented in some way, and they aren't relying on lag to pull off their kills.

It would be nice to see actual ping values next to our little connection bars.... I'd wager we would see a lot of people in the 100ms+ range....likely worse.

Lol, I found the same b.s. I'm penalized for having consistent connection 100+ 10-15 ping wired. If I switch to Wi-Fi signal only drops slightly, however I don't seem to be the 2-3 shots behind others that makes playing unbearable.

i approve this thread. looks like i am switching to WiFi when PvPing. maybe then i will have a chance.

let me say this, im from Europe, when I play with somebody from N and S America (ie. USA, Mexico etc.) in every situation I feel like they have at least 0.5 second advantage that's huge, moreover I never met more lag cheaters than folks from Mexico, every -blam!-ing time this sick matchmaking put me against them, even one -blam!-ing shot is not registered, yesterday I played IB against them, 12 shots from golden gun from 2m distance, not even one was registered, good job bungo

The new thing for me is pulling the trigger on my her champion with aggressive directly into someone's chest, point blank and doing zero damage, like ????????!!!!!

As I remember the oficial answer of bungie is that our conections are a sh1t and we need to check ping, dns, number of users and many, many, many other things because the servers are fine. But after making check of the reasonable elements I still die behind walls, dont do damage in face shots with mi party crasher and somehow I die killed by the architects without granades, rocket launchers or supers involved.

Sometimes it ain't lags and just you getting outplayed...... Yeah but the lag in this game is horrendous

Destiny connection issues are so bad they resorted to implementing a "damage referee"....which by the way flat out doesnt work either.... People who state that latency/lag issues are not a problem are flat out clueless and it is pointless having a discussion with them on this issue After countless videos of lag posted on this forum if you cant see that its an issue then I can only assume that nothing could ever sway you....including logic or eyesight

So many people are riding the same ship. Every shooter I've ever played, from socom to ghost recon to CoD to BF.. always hovered well above a 2.0 KD.. most of them was a 3.0 or better.. But in Destiny I'm around a 1.4 overall since launch, there is no consistency. There is no middle ground. I'm either dying in what feels like "CoD hardcore mode" or I have time to react and counter.. Some people just lucked out and have great P2P connections and are always favored (latency in this game is so -blam!-ing awful) Edit: perfect exapmle. When someone snipes you before they come around the corner.. before they are even visible on your screen.. your dead, then they come around the corner.. OBVIOUSLY they are ahead of you latency wise.. and you can't compete with that

Had a random thought to describe whats going on - It's like playing low light level in Iron banner - except you're not low light If they have an algorithm for it, it's all messed up I reckon.

30fps and P2P servers were acceptable...last gen. On current consoles it's dated, and it shows. Bungie needs to do what most devs are doing this generation. 1080p@30fps for Campaign (I want enormous play space) and like 900p@60fps for MP. But definitely 60fps and DS for PvP in Destiny 2.

Amount of deaths I've gave up by being shot round walls is ridiculous - I've even shot people round walls as well I fire my last bullet though the persons round the wall it kills them!? Latency is such a major issue in this game.

This isn't a dig at all but what is fibre glass Internet.. I use fibre glass to make wind turbine blades..
