There is nothing here to complain about. Sony bought the rights for exclusive content. Just like Microsoft had with CoD for a while...until Sony bought that too.
You don't whine to Naughty Dog about not being able to play Uncharted on your gigantic box, so complaining to Bungie about exclusives is just yelling at a wall built out of Sony's money.
It's business. Sucks to suck, but Sony paid and Microsoft didn't.
And before anyone calls me a fanboy, I own both...I just happen to only use the One for exclusives like Halo as I prefer the PS4 so much more over the box.

Your missing the point. We are mad because Bungie stated that exclusives would only be a year and it looks like they lied.
-
Edited by DukeRains: 8/17/2016 4:54:45 PMThey've lied before without further explanation. Seems to me this is just par for the course.
-
For some reason, I hate replies like this more than anything. We all understand that sony paid for it. We are all just gathering here to whine about it.
-
-
Well it is true. We all know that nothing will change this, no matter how loud we cry. So we cry for the hell of it.
-
and I hate whining more than anything. I understand you're upset, but this isn't going to help anything...at all...
-
I know this won't change anything, I couldn't care less. Hell, I don't even want these weapons. I'm just saying that people here already know the whole argument over timed exclusives. They just wanna complain.
-
...that's a child's reaction.
-
Everyone has an inner child. And nothing brings it out like another child getting more toys. Idk why this seems surprising or new to you. It is simple really.
-
It is simple-minded, if that's what you were going for. If you're trying to make excuses for people acting like children, then let me just stop you right there, because there is no excuse unless you are, in fact, a child. It's not new OR surprising. This entire forum is full of entitled, petulant children who do nothing but come on here and whine all day. Unluckily for them, my job allows me a lot of free time and internet access with no place to (physically) go, so I call them out on their childish crap. That shouldn't surprise anyone either.
-
Well you can keep calling each one out on their shit, but I can assure you that all you're doing is wasting your own time. Whining like a baby is childish, but arguing with people over the internet is foolish.
-
Oh, I can assure you. I only argue when there's an actual intelligent debate afoot. As for people who whine and cry. I let them know how petty and childish they're being and then I move on. The "Bungie owes us X" crowd is my favorite.
-
Well good luck holding back forces of nature. I hope we never meet on those terms, guardian.
-
Actually, the original post was about the times being changed from one year wait to two (possibly)
-
And people are whining about
-
It was shady practice, and kind of bait to people who bought TTK and RoI. Due to this being the most likely Last Major update before Destiny 2, it would mean those items would be available for a game with no future real playability. Especially with some of the items being in trailers that have no visible warning about the exotic weapons not being available, again, for another year like Jade rabbit.
-
Ask items in the destiny database are subject to change, stop whining
-
I mean I'm not going to act like it doesn't suck for the Xbox players, but it is what it is. Complain to Microsoft to spend more money.
-
It's not about money, for all we know Microsoft put up a better bid, and Due to middle school drama Activision/bungie turned it down. If they really want to not have a possible drop off in Xbox support, aka a decent chunk of money coming in, they need to reevaluate their practices. I do not mind exclusives, but charging the same for 1 year exclusives , and then deciding they will just not give players it past that one year, that's wrong. It is bad advertising, and honestly could possibly warrant lawsuits from players. And if that happened it could even hurt the game even more.
-
I agree. I'd gladly pay a little extra, say $5 per DLC, to keep the exclusives on PS4. That way we'd actually be contributing something you aren't in order to have them.
-
I'd happier if they had it that way. Then when the items are released it be like a dlc pack. But then it could get into the whole "pay to win" argument. But I think itd be fine if it worked like so.
-
Exactly. I'm by no means saying all this is right or that Bungie shouldn't be faulted. I just doubt anything will come of it.
-
Doubtful, maybe enough complaints to bungie, Microsoft, activision , and others it could be fixed. Still a month left. I wonder if bungie/Activision is trying to see how far they can go with it before getting massive backlash. Makes me wonder if they would dare make destiny 2 PS exclusive. I think they would piss off enough people that even if they changed their minds it would just hurt them in the future.
-
I don't think they'd take it that far. First and foremost is the bottom line on the balance sheet and they wouldn't risk that just to make the whole game exclusive.
-
exclusive games are not comparable to timed exclusive content for a game. It's one of the stupidest arguments anyone has ever graced the internet with. And anyone who agree's with this argument is also stupid. Period. We are not complaining about exclusives being timed exclusives. We all knew that when we willingly bought it for the xbox one. We're pissed because when ttk exclusives first dropped WE WERE TOLD that they would be ours around the end of 2016. This new information is telling us a near year later "LOLO NO NOW IT'S 2 YEARS." I don't care how much money sony paid for. That's publicly lying with a product we paid for. We have a right to be angry about that. Had Bungie said at the start of ttk we'd be miffed but understood. But waiting patiently a whole year only to have it extended all sneaky like with no official announcement by the developers is just a slap to the face to the people supporting them.
