So apparently Y2 PS exclusives may not come to Xbox until 2017.
Yup, you read that right. The page was updated and now all of a sudden the Y2 exclusives + the ROI exclusive items are all of a sudden now all mixed together and won't be available on Xbox until 2017.
This is the type of bullshit that is going on with this game. I quit for awhile but came back because I honestly thought I could get back into the swing of things. Reading this makes me never want to pay another dime to the corrupt people who are in charge of this game.
I hope to god this isn't true.

Yes, I was banned from replying any further in my own thread. The cause, as stated by Bungie, is that they didn't like my use of the word retardud (spelt wrong because I don't know if they track that crap), even though it was not attacking anyone in the context I used it.
Suspiciously, they issued me no warning. They banned me straight away, even though I've seen people get away with far worse on here.
Also, another user who has been messaging me told me they were themselves banned for a bit even though they did not say anything bad.
Please people, keep this up. This PS exclusive issue can't go unnoticed.
Tweet them. DM them. Anything that puts this issue into the spotlight. It's their turn to talk now.

It appears this post has gotten traction. Good. People need to hear of this. If Bungie/Activision/Sony aren't willing to announce this then we'll do it ourselves.
Also, name calling doesn't bother me. Call me a child, entitled brat, idiot, etc. go ahead, get creative if you want. Doesn't hurt me in the slightest.
The amount of people that seem to be defending this timed exclusive deal is disturbing, though. Doesn't matter who payed what, it's an abomination of a deal that hurts players on both sides.
Additionally, please do not say Sony payed more for exclusives or Microsoft didn't pay up unless you HAVE A SOURCE.

PS: I'd like to say that I'm not trashing on Bungie here. No doubt they have no control of what is going on. There are others at Activision/Sony that are the ones responsible for this crap.

Let me make something clear, since it seems some of you aren't understanding the problem here.
We all know destiny has exclusives. We were told one year for content. Whatever, we can live with it.
Now all of a sudden it's changing to two years? Without anyone saying a word? This is the problem. Not that the game has exclusives, it's the fact that they're extending it without our knowledge.
Also, I'm not reading the page wrong for Christ's sake. Look at the asterisks and the scroll down to the bottom of the page. *Exclusive until at least Fall 2017. The asterisk is on Y2 content as well. Hell the page even says enjoy 2 exclusive PVP maps when ROI is only delivering one.

We already paid for it, same price for every update, game as PS customers. Give us what we paid for, with at least 6 months till destiny 2, which I'm guessing is Sept? Q's is will they and keep it quite ..not make a big deal of it.. or NO . never and give those Customers the BIG F-U?? if so guess I know I'll save some cash this fall..

Xbox players should speak with their wallets. If you haven't already pre-ordered RoI, don't buy it, and don't buy any further expansions/sequels. If they want to continue to go out of their way to treat half of their customers like second rate step-children, then see how they like it when roughly half the sales from further Destiny releases aren't hitting their bank account. One year exclusive content is ridiculous as it stands, but two years is a slap in the face, and I myself will not be purchasing RoI if this two year exclusive crap is true; I would hope the rest of Destiny's Xbox players will refrain from purchasing it, as well.

This is an absolute joke. And it wont be Bungie as the OP said it will be sony and Activision. So basically this means that when destiny 2 is launched xbox 1 players will get access to exclusives that would be useless and pointless. Perhaps there is something underlying this that we dont know. But Sony and Activision know and that Bungie have said no more exculsives for Destiny 2 if they have then this will be a smart move on there part as if they continue with this id expect xbox 1 players really wont be interested anymore. I guess time will tell. Im looking forward to RoI see yall at Felwinters Peak in a few weeks Guardians :)

Well I honestly have no source but third party exclusives happen when ridiculous amount of marketing dollars are offered up. I'm not defending this practice at all but your feelings are misguided. Activision is the publisher. They decided on this. Not Bungie. Again I have no proof but that's how this works. Look at Respawn entertainment for example. They were shocked to know that their publisher made their game exclusive to Microsoft. Titan fall #1 was supposed to be on ps4 too. Look that up, Google it. Research those links. Eventually you'll read how one of the head Titan fall developers explained this whole exclusivity thing. It's the publisher. Not the studio. And it's whack. We both paid the same price for a game and one of us won't get what he paid for as fast as the other. It's bad for the hobby. Bad for the consumer. And this will keep happening because extra marketing dollars go very far. Stop writing to Bungie. Go to Activision with this.

Bungie is to blame for the exclusivity. Before the game's release, they started a bidding war. To keep it short, Sony won the bidding, and Bungie got a little extra in their pocket. I'm not saying Bungie is a bad company, I mean it IS a business; they've gotta make money where they can. I just find it dumb how the contract on exclusives lasts a whole year, and now this last batch of exclusive items won't be available to Xbox players for 2 damn years. Hell, Destiny 2 will probably be out already by the time those exclusives are released! Let that thought sink in for a moment.

There is no way to defend this choice. There really isn't. Don't say "fine-print" or "Activision and PlayStation paid for this". No, no. They paid for a year. I don't know where to put all the blame: 1. Bungie for delaying there game a bunch. 2. PlayStation for arguing exclusivity clauses 3. Activision for being a greedy company. However, the blame doesn't matter. Whomevers fault t is, there is a clear injustice done here. Show me any other game that has 2 year exclusivity. It's downright corrupt and criminal at this point. I paid for these games 100% expecting to receive the strikes, maps, armor, and weapons after one year. Something from Bungie needs to be done. First, I would appreciate a formal and detailed statement on what happened here. Also, a FIRM DATE, as to when I can expect this content that's already paid for. Do right by your players.

I AGREE THIS IS COMPLETE BS AND ITS SHADY. i play both systems and pc and it just stupid that bungie thought it would be a good idea to take a little extra money from sony when the deal ends up losing them more money. hey just being associated with the corrupt and greedy company activision loss bungie fans and sales for destiny and that came back to haunt them. i hope destiny 2 fails and they learn not to deal with bs companies like activision or sony. this wouldn even be a problem if bungie was just transparent with its community. when fans ask for a nerf it takes almost 2 dlc releases to fix it, abusable glitches are comletely ignored until it loses them money. if bungie wasnt so focused on milking their fans the they would be mmaking 3 times as much from destiny and i refuse to buy destiny 2 until they become transparent with everything.

I really don't know what makes PSN users defend this. I have both consoles, and play this on both enough to be 335 on both, and flawless on both. Feel free to check my credentials before assuming I'm biased. [spoiler] Although if my friends were on ps4, I'd play Xbox much less simply because i only play Destiny, and it runs better on ps4, as well as that bad opponents are easier to find[/spoiler] That said, it's bs that at least Jade rabbit, sector 618, and echo chamber aren't being released. It's been a year. That's what was advertised when we bought TTK. I can understand waiting til April for Zen Meteor, or even not getting it or the IB/sublime gear, as they were not part of anything I bought. But the exclusives from TTK are a different story.

It's the company's choice, it marketing strategy and did you not just read that you ARE getting them big whoop you have to wait.. Chill. Also cod4 remastered is coming to current consoles through the 79.99 infinite warfare edition and impatient people will buy it when you can get it 6 months after IW release in November for $20 it's called Patience people have waited 8-9 years what another half a year. I hope my stance and point makes sense and not get fanboys butt hurt. Edit: As for the mod banning you yea kinda wack... maybe salty. Edit 2: Another xbox exclusive would be Tomb Raider still not being released on Ps that's almost been a year.

One full year keeping content exclusive is already absurd. Extending that exclusivity for two years in a loot game like Destiny it's just plain stupidity. From the business point of view it's also a bad move. Even Destiny PS players say that this is not the way to go and criticize this kind of shady options. In the end, if the goal was to make more people switch from XB1 to PS4 it's not working and will never work. Two years can't be called timed exclusive, no matter how much fine print Bungie claims. Two years it's just deliberately withholding content from half of the Destiny players, period. When a community manager says - "But obviously the fine print does a better job of setting those expectations than I do, so those are the places to look for that information" - it's obvious that the supreme interest it's not about the players. This is the kind of practice that really makes people say farewell to a game and to a company for good. And when you think about it it's just a natural reaction. After all Bungie and Activision just gave the middle finger to half of their Destiny fanbase.

I'm on PS4 and I think the whole year timed exclusives against X1 users are pretty stupid. Yes, other PS users will argue "they got CoD maps early", which yes they did. (I remember those days and being mad, but I also didn't have to pay for Plus because PS3 so I justified it like that all the time to other butthurt friends) On that same note though, only a month. Not an entire year. Granted the exclusives aren't that great, but it's the principal of the thing.

Screw this. If this is the way it is going to be, at least own up to it Bungie. I can handle that there are Ps exclusives. I knew it and went with a xbone anyway. What I can't is that they are going back on what they said when TTK was release and extending the exclusives another year. And all without even a "hey, sorry about that, here's some Vaseline."
