Enhanced Patrols ¤- An Idea -¤

Not sure if anyone else agrees with me, but House of Wolves was the best expansion. Once Wolf Hunts were wiped, I started to hate the game (after I beat all the TK missions, I even stopped playing). To me that sucks, because I see a game that can truly be legendary. Bungie, why not add a new feature to the Destiny Patrols. It can be the smallest thing even. How About This: - Mythril Chests Mythril Chests can drop Legendary Engrams and RNG for rare materials or an exotic engram. (maybe add some new exotic gear that Three of Coins can't award, along with a new set of legendary gear (maybe they all take a mythril appearance)? Perhaps it will add more reason to run chests?) Also, I know it's a long shot but maybe have that legendary gear apply passive buffs while on patrol? Like increased speed or enhanced radar? Patrol specific, so it doesn't break the game whatsoever How To Find? - Random in any zone other than the dreadnaught (it already has this, more or less). Find rate of 35% in place of any other non-gold chest location? When found, a Charged Mythril Key must must be consumed. How To Obtain Mythril Keys: (Only One Allowed per Character at a time. Like Argonarch Runes) - 1% chance to find in any chest other than gold. (This could include the locked chests on the dreadnaught I guess) - 5% reward chance for completing a vanguard bounty. - 15% reward chance for completing a public event. - 3% reward chance for completing a patrol mission. - 85% reward chance for completing a decrypted patrol mission in under 5 minutes. - Purchased from Xur for 15 strange coins and 45 motes of light (both required). How To Charge The Key: Absolutely Debatable While holding the key, you must: - Get 75 kills on patrol. - Complete a strike. - Disassemble any 3 gear or weapon items of any rarity other than common (to potentially make room for the engrams you will be getting and to "add potency" to the key) - Complete 5 patrol missions. (I would include Public Events, but often enough they are way too random to rely on) Once objectives are completed, hand the key to the Speaker so he can properly tune it to open Mythril Chests. (we don't see enough of him, so why not?) Edit: Perhaps have four different key types, one for each of the planets? Edit: Interesting comments gave me some cool ideas. Just fun ideas, I think these would merely spice it up a bit. - Maybe give the chests a 5% chance to spawn a boss in the zone that awards everyone involved in it's downfall with another Key and drops the chest loot specifically for the fireteam that opened it. Bosses would hopefully take form of an enemy race common in that zone (eliminating Taken bosses please...so sick of taken...)
