I think it's worth the $60, but I understand why some people don't. And I think this game's biggest problem is that Sony and Hello Games let the hype and people's expectations run way too far away before they started trying to reel them in. People were expecting the next revolution in gaming, like what Mario 64 did for for gaming, and this isn't that, nor was it ever advertised as that. But when Sony and Hello Games didn't come out and squash these crazy rumors and expectations people's imaginations ran away. Then when they finally did start to tell people what this game was really going to be like, it was too late, a huge number of people were already on the hype train. This game will do well when it goes on sale, I wouldn't recommend it to just any random person at $60 just because this game isn't for everybody. I would, however, highly recommend that you play this game at some point, not just watch it streamed or something, because there is something intangible to the gameplay that makes it fun and compelling. You want to find that crashed ship or that next multi-tool, or that rare ass element that you have no idea where it is. But you won't get any of that from just watching somebody play it, and more likely than not you're going be turned off and decide it's just a boring ass game.
