There is a sea of games out there. A literal ocean of games. No Man's Sky is better than an easy 80% of games that are full priced. So no. It's more "worth it" than so much of the nonsense these days, or any day really.

 •
There is a sea of games out there. A literal ocean of games.
This is why a summer release was so important for No Man's Sky. Earlier in the summer would have been better, but still, the game has some time to shine before a tsunami of sequels. As for being better than 80% of games, maybe it is and maybe it isn't. More importantly, though, it's not another military shooter. There is a niche, a rather large niche, for a game like No Man's Sky. Whether I buy it for $60, $30, or less, I'm glad Hello Games made it.

 • $60 dollars for a game that crashes when it loads up. I'll have to think this through.
