The flat earth model was disproven in the 1400s. You can deny 600 years of progress if you like, that's your choice to be willfully ignorant. Denying the Earth is round denies axial tilt which gives us seasons, denies satellites that give us tv and cell service, and certain air travel patterns that shave off milage by flying slightly north or south instead of flying directly east to west, denies that every other visible celestial body in the known universe is round. Your senses tell you the world is flat because you are very small. You are also choosing to be small minded.

Good job bro.
-
Very well written.
-
Thank you for doing this. The rest of us are getting rather tired of constantly correcting this guy. He continues to claim things that are just utterly ridiculous and it's getting pretty annoying at this point. Unfortunately common sense and reason are not his strong suits
-
I've had a lot of free time at work this week. I'm almost convinced that this flat Earth movement is just performance art.
-
I've gotten somewhat that way as well. It's getting to be truly ridiculous today
-
Using my sense to understand the world is not small minded.
-
It is if you are ignoring hundreds of years of knowledge in the process.
-
But what if that knowledge is based on a flawed system of belief?
-
Physics is not a flawed system of belief. The beauty of science is that facts are required to support a theory. If the facts don't support the theory then the theory is thrown out, not the facts. There are literally no facts to argue against the world being round other than "I can't see it". You are literally taking information from a goofball fringe group on the internet over knowledge provided by scientific discovery and thousands of years of exploration and mapping. This is no better than people not vaccinating their kids after listening to Jenny McCarthy. Well, at least you flat-earthers aren't causing a measles or polio outbreak.
-
1400s? Dude, it was done in ancient india.
-
I haven't been brushing up on ancient history and I'm sure I recall ancient vikings sailing around the world as well, either way it was a long time ago and shouldn't be up for debate in the fuçking 21st century.
-
That's a much better way to put it.
-
I would have been you if i had the effort today, thank you for your service lol.
