Elemental Primaries were one of the main reasons to even do the Raids. It was Endgame PvE Content that you spent time on (and kneeled before RNGesus) to possibly acquire them which you then used to make OTHER PvE Endgame Activities like the Nightfall or PoE/CoE that much more doable.
It is pigheaded to think they should not return in the next raid just because you want things to stay hard. Fun Fact - Difficulty is determined by THE PLAYER AND HIS/HER BRAIN. Of course shooting elemental shields with Kinetic Weapons makes it harder - but arguing that we should NOT have something to make it easier after working your arse off for it, because someone else thinks it limits what weapons we use? Then make that choice to use a different weapon on your own.
So Freaking What if im using VoC to eat a solar shield and you moan about not having one or how "Easy" it is to kill with them. THATS WHY I DID THE RAID IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! Even when Trials of Osiris came into existence it was an alternate activity that ALSO rewarded Elemental Primaries to those who could make it to the Lighthouse - and they make ZERO DIFFERENCE in PVP anyways.

It's not only because it makes the game more difficult, it destroys weapon diversity. If they released an item that you could infuse into weapons to give them that specific element, it would be a very good thing for this game, but just having specific primaries have burns on them is terrible for weapon diversity, which was bungie's original argument for the removal of elemental primaries
-
Allow me to debunk this trash argument of yours Eysaluna Grasp of peasanty (malok) Doctrine of peasantry (passing) Mida multi tool The last word These guns are the major killers in crucible and besides from a few outliers these are the weapons people use and they never deviate in their arrogant attempt to try and tell us what's good for us they've just done what they did before except now raids have trash weapons and we waste more bullets on trash mobs make endgame great again and give us good weapons with good perks like back in year 1
-
Edited by FSUxGLADIATORx: 8/11/2016 8:35:17 AMI meant weapon diversity in PvE Y1, and it is completely true. Back in Y1, you never saw anyone use anything other than a VoG primary or CE primary because they were the best option.
-
Because House of wolves weapons were trash garbage with trash perks this was the beginning of their let's make mediocre endgame weapons with trash perks but forgot that no one would downgrade their arsenal so they wiped the slate clean for TTK and took all the good guns and replaced it with this junk how I miss pre nerf black hammer.
-
I do too, but pre nerf black hammer was completely overpowered in PvE. The fact of the matter is that bungie needs to make raid primaries great again, and I think everyone agrees. No endgame weapon should be useless, or mediocre at best
-
Should have been more guns like black hammer I swear they must've hired some casual who doesn't know two shits about a Sci fi setting.
-
I agree, but maybe to thx level of black hammer. I'm thinking more of VoC esc raid weapons.!weapons with stellar rolls that dominate in PvE, and are still good in PvP.
-
I do miss my Tuesday nights meeting with my clan for VoG and saying, "Tonight is the night! Tonight you will get Fatebringer!" Then disappointed for another week... but when it did drop... YESSSSSSS!!!!!

Well said.

BANG On.
It is pigheaded to think they should not return in the next raid just because you want things to stay hard.
Nothing left field about it.
-
Bungie made NF easier for guys like you. I bet you think the Undying Mind strike is too long and difficult.
-
Your response seems to be out in left field. The guy your answering also played when nightfall was a return to orbit upon death. Also burns allowed you to put out more damage sure but you could actual be one shot killed by enemies .Then back to orbit.
-
He played the same NF. So what's your point in relation to mine? Also what's the problem with getting one shot and returned to orbit? You like the easy NF then huh.
-
Your response like I said was out in left field. he was talking elemental primaries and your talking about nightfalls and they were made easier for him. he mentioned nightfall one time in entire paragraph and you ran with it. I love nightfalls back then and haven't run one since they changed it to where you don't get kicked to orbit.
Fun Fact - Difficulty is determined by THE PLAYER AND HIS/HER BRAIN.
So when I selected Legendary difficulty in Halo - it was actually my own brain the entire time???
-
For some people even normal mode is difficult and for others legendary is easy. If you don't understand what the op meant by that, you are either stubborn or have difficulty in understanding the English language.

Edited by Neph: 8/11/2016 10:29:56 PMOr perhaps I was being lighthearted and/or a tad sarcastic?
-
ah ah ....got him
-
If they decide not to bring them back why bother to keep the shields elemental, but make it like a halo shield
-
^this^
-
Do they effect Titan void shields and warlock solar shields in pvp? Generally asking here
-
They do not, no
-
Yeah I can attest for my void shield that it just looks like a void shield. Otherwise I'm just a downgraded Spartan who needs to punch/shotgun someone to get my shield. It needs to look pretty too 😂
