They won't bring them back. And here's why.
Trials of Osiris. When how dropped the current end game weapons that were used in pve where found in the raids which included elemental primaries and pve players loved them.
Then came how and trials . And this massive influx of pissed off pve players because hands down the best four elemental primaries came from the light house. And the pve community flipped out saying it wasn't fair to the pve community that only PvP players and even then only the top 10% hand access to these element primary weapons. They said that the Poe elemental primaries didn't compare and it wasn't fair to lock the pve community out of getting the best pve weapons.
We can have them cause the pve community cried so hard that they couldn't obtain them that they took them away for good

The best elemental primaries in year one were: Fatebringer, vision of confluence, Fang, Vex and Word. None of which was acquired through trials.
-
The messenger was pretty good
-
Not because of elemental damage. It was a great pvp pulse. The comment I replied to stated the best ELEMENTAL primaries came from Trials. They did not.
-
No PvE player ever complained that they couldn't get the lighthouse weapons, you're delusional if you think they did. Plus, no PvP weapon will ever be better, or more useful, to PvE endgame than fatebringer or blackhammer, they are, and forever will be, the greatest weapons attainable from any activity in this game!!
-
They did complain & it was glorious
-
Lol and void primary. How about that arc auto rifle or void scout. Lol the messenger was op. And yes the solar jewel was a must have but that doesn't mean just because it was the only solar hand cannon that it should have been made obtainable to everyone or thru pve. Pve is trash. Raids are useless and lose their fun after the first few runs. Why does the pve community complain so much when the PvP community gets something nice done for them like the year one trials primaries
-
This is precious. Can we talk about just about all PvE weapons getting shredded by PvP nerf whining right after you're done with your complaint about losing primary elementals?
-
No complaints lol I don't pve
-
All we are saying is Year 1 trials weapons had no place in the PvE meta of that time. Thus had very little influence in the elemental primaries being removed.
-
You can't be serious. They were and still are hands down the best elemental primaries out. The perform better and are nicer. And at the time they were the most coveted elemental primaries and the pve community deemed it unfair that they were only available to the top PvP players and that PvP players didn't even need element damage. I was there trust me. I still have them all.and they still perform better
-
If you don't PvE how can you even state these were the best weapons? I had some of the Trials elementals and I never used them for PvE activities; there were much better options than those weapons. I was always confused as to why they even put burns on them because they were designed with perks that benefited PvP and not PvE.
-
Edited by BornANew2020: 8/9/2016 5:39:10 PMAs a mostly pve player I never once complained about anything well maybe rng drops but that was it. PS I didn't think it was unfair not being able to get all trials guns I was happy I got any at all.
-
No, they took them away because all people wanted to use was Fatebringer. I guess they forgot that on top of the elemental damage it had, it was also the only handcannon with firefly and that meant it shit on everything in PvE. Not one single PvE player gave a shit about the Summoner, the only one I ever saw the PvE folks looking for was a solar handcannon because handcannons were the shit in year 1.
-
So you can't eliminate a gun from PVP, so instead you take them all away? Makes zero sense. I hope in the 2nd iteration of this game they completely seperate the two modes completely. It is so annoying that crap gets nerfed because of PVP which then impacts the rest of the game. It's inexcusable.
-
I don't remember anyone complaining about Trails weapons year one except for the Messenger being OP in crucible. The auto and HC were said to suck really bad. The only.good one was the pulse, and the scout was mediocre. Most people used Fatebringer, Gally, and Black hammer. That was what everyone wanted, not crappy trials guns. Talking PvE.
-
We are only talking about elemental primaries dude. And I'm sorry but the trials weapons hands down preform better than any raid weapons as far as elemental primaries go. And yea the messenger still two shots and is still op and nobody can get it lol but if you needed burn weapons for night falls and stuff back then the trials primaries preformed better and you could get them in different elements. Which also pissed off pve players
-
Again pve player here never got pissed off
-
We are only talking about elemental primaries dude. And I'm sorry but the trials weapons hands down preform better than any raid weapons as far as elemental primaries go [...] but if you needed burn weapons for night falls and stuff back then the trials primaries preformed better
Except... They didn't. Not even close, actually. As one of the minority players that has gotten every piece of BOTH the Trials and Raid Gear, in no version of this Universe or a parallel one were the ToO Weapons better than the Raid Weapons for PvE (which is the ONLY place Primary Elementals are useful) ToO weapons of course were better for PvP, but their Elemental burns were wasted in the Crucible. I've been through many Raids with many groups, and not ONCE did I ever hear anyone wishing they had a Messenger or Summoner. Lol You can try to sell us on it until you're blue in the face, but I guarantee no one's buying.
-
Maybe we played with two different ends of the community.
-
Yeah I couldn't even remember the names of the trials weapons in year one. Let alone, as a pve only player, get butthurt about not having any of them. I was happy with my fang, black hammer, and gally load out lol
-
Have you ever done a raid?
-
This my second account lol before the dark below dropped I had literally every single weapon and piece of gear this game had to offer. Including full sets of raid gear and 3 level 30 tunes . Yes I have done a raid. What does that even have to-do with my statement which btw is completely on point
-
It's not on point and don't tell me you made an alt account, that's the oldest lie there is. Do a raid or two and then tell me if your statement is true or not. Raids are difficult and take a fair amount of time to complete, the same goes for trials, so there should be an equal reward.
-
Edited by xX cicatriz Xx: 8/9/2016 3:24:01 PMSo there was an equal reward. Both had elemental primaries lol it's just the trials ones looked cooler r and perform better is all. Why do people think they are entitled to something in this game just cause they own and play it lol And seriously vog can be 4 manned. I can solo crotas end. Lol kings fall is simply a waste of time for most players. Don't compare going flawless against other players to beating a cp boss that already had a set strategy to beat
