Who all wants Raid Elemental Primary Weapons back?
-
4 RepliesEdited by Move, I'm Gay: 8/10/2016 2:25:48 AMI would say YES and NO. The raid weapons with no burn seem pretty useless and not very attractive. Almost not even worth it. On the flip side, when certain weapons have the burn, they become the "Go To" weapons and that's all you end up using and then everyone starts to complain about variety Haha It's a double edged sword.

Usually there's not much difference between normal and hard mode weapons besides the looks, so they should make hard mode weapons the same as normal except with elements. Same for adept vs normal trials weapons.

1 ReplyIt was kinda weird leaving my elementals from last year behind, but, I'm over it already

1 ReplyYes, please.

Where are those elemental cores? At the cost of coins or marks to infuse an element of choice to primary of choice. Even if Bungie limits the amount primary element weapons to have at one time.
-
9 RepliesMeh. I miss them but I think for how op they are, they need to be the most difficult to obtain. So only Flawless Trials should be dropping elemental primaries (if at all).
-
All primaries should have them not just raid gear
-
I want that back so bad or at least be able to bring back my old raid guns like my old time favorite oversoul edict

Here is my take on it: The main thing is that raid primaries should be the best (have additional perks, good stats, elemental damage, etc) because they are the toughest weapons to obtain in the game. Right now, the guns that anyone bothers to use can be obtained through fixed quests or vendors, requiring no amount of luck whatsoever to get a gun that you would ever want to use. (Guns that fall into this category are: Black Spindle, Sleeper Simulant, Exotic Swords, The Vertigo, Conspiracy Theory, Tlaloc, The First Curse, Hung Jury, Touch of Malice or also known as every gun that pretty much anybody uses for anything) I understand how it might be frustrating dealing with never getting a gun you want, but at least the raid guns have a higher chance to drop in that content than say, a party crasher with a good roll dropping after a crucible match. The guns I mentioned above, about 2 of them require you to touch 6-man content, which is supposed to be one of the best features of this game. The raid gear should be better than 80% of any other weapon that doesn't require any amount of luck to obtain. The fact that people acquire the best guns in the game with little to no luck is really inappropriate for a game that prides itself on being loot-based. Right now, the raid gear is just infusion fuel for better guns, and the weapons themselves aren't actually that great, for example, giving the scout rifle no chance at firefly, and even replacing 1 perk with cocoon. Nobody wants a perk that requires them not to use that gun, and that is exactly what cocoon is. In the april update, they partially realized their mistake by buffing the weapons' reload speeds (which were low to begin with to supposedly compensate for cocoon), but they should have better stats and perks than most other guns. Point being- I believe in the Vault of Glass loot system, where every week people would get together to try and complete an activity that would give them a chance at receiving great guns with good stats and elemental primaries (Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence). This process would repeat weekly, and over time would develop team chemistry as people would share in each other's experiences: There would be that one guy that got Fatebringer the first time they killed Templar on Hard Mode, and that one guy who just wouldn't receive Black Hammer after killing Crota 10 times. Right now, there isn't much incentive to running the raid if you have 335 light. Just my take on it all :)

I just want grasp to have an elemental, arc perhaps? something idc lol
-
So what you are saying is that you want them to nerf fusion riffles?
-
1 ReplyIt's okay guys just know Bungie doesn't care about our opinions
-
Give us elemental charges to put on the weapons
-
"yea, bungie made the right choice by axing a huge chunk of the game that was really fun when they brought out TTK" Yea..........that makes sense. WHO CARES if people use the hell out of fatebringer or VoC. It doesn't hurt you! Those guns didn't "break" pvp. PvP has had it's way with pve anyway. We know who gets catered to when it comes to weapons, perks, and gear. It sure as hell isn't pve.

I think a good way to go about this is to make a raid elemental drop similar to chroma, and have it only drop with crux/vex rarity, that way bungo wont complain about the same few weapons being used, since all legendaries would be capable of burns
-
Raids are typically the hardest end game content. I don't know why they don't have elements, literally all other guns are better. (Exaggeration, but still.)
-
1 ReplyNope, maybe specific extra perk that don't replace any others, but no burn is good
-
1 ReplyI just want raid weapons with legit, static perk combos. Year one raid weapons were so widely used because their perk combos were mostly top tier, not just the elements.
-
I would

I'd actually have more guns like Tlaloc, which let the PLAYER dictate when their gun does more damage. Not elemental primaries, which do NOTHING until Bungie says so.
