I'm not super into PvP, but am sort of average. I have never played trials because I've heard (read) nothing but terrible things about it. Fact is, I'm running outta stuff to do in this game, and I've been trying my hand at fighting other guardians in the Crucible, and was looking at the next logical step. Hell, maybe improve a little by playing with better people.
I was just curious to see if I could get some advice from those who've been playing trials for a while. No carries, I want to be able to earn my way to the lighthouse.
So ideas for builds, subclasses, tactics? Let's hear it!

The gold tier bounty guarantees a weapon or armor piece (or class item :/ ) from trials. It can be completed everyday of trials, and it only requires you to play 7 games. That's what I do, if I even bother with trials.

I enjoy it. but then again I'm one of the few people that enjoy crucible.

My advice is, just check it out, see for yourself if its fun for you or not. and the most inportend thing: play with your friends, have fun dont expect to win too often. I would prefer fun teammates over sweaty/screaming/arguing (above) average players

I would recommend trying it. I tried it and I kinda liked. I probably won't do it anytime soon but it is a really good experience. Just don't get your hopes up too high because there quite a few cheaters and laggers.

Yes, try it out. But if you're not a great sniper and or if you don't play with pretty good players, aka pretty good snipers, be ready to not come close to winning a single game. I'm an average player. Playing with other average players. I play 2 cards each weekend. Haven't won a single game in about 2 months. Because casual players no longer play trials. Because it's a bitch. Full of carries, red bars, and snipers. Does that sound fun to you?

Best rewards are nerfed b4 the next DLC it seems (Messenger and Doctrine). Adept is meh now that elemental is gone. Gameplay is fun but can be frustrating if you go global and deal with the greatest sniper rifle ever: Her Latency - Shots with this rifle occur 500ms beforehand.
-
It's not worth it with the passive plays everyone makes which is very, very boring.
-
It's fun

I played my first trials game with a friend a couple days ago, I thought it was fun doing the bounties
-
Yes it is. It is basically the only game mode left that feels like it matters. As far as a video game can matter.

Edited by Silent: 8/8/2016 8:24:31 PMIt's (mostly) a bunch of people arming themselves with meta builds because apparently you need to use the strongest gear in order to be good.
Trigger pulled.
No. All the guns except for the primaries suck.

You have quite the learning curve, builds go for full armor, weapons have God rolls, go farm/buy them (some vendors have God rolls) Get a team of 3 play tight n communicate, just because you die doesn't mean you still can't relay position and weapon to teammates Always get the revive, can't stress that enough, unless there's a sniper/shotgunner/fusion guy, then don't allow them to farm your guys (res kills are easy as you can get killed then them) Always push a revive that's in a sniper lane, don't just get them up and hope the sniper will forget about him Most importantly have fun, don't get angry as it is extremely frustrating when impossible shit happens then the team tea bags you cuz they don't register damage or teleport I usually drink a 6 pack while playing to relieve that anger portion and laugh

I main a Titan. Ran defender with fast res chest. I've been flawless 4 times. Just practice and play.
