Rise of Iron - Recruit a Friend

I recently got the new Xbox One S, and it came to me to try to Refer-a-Friend with our other console. However, both my sister and I have bought Destiny: The Taken King well beyond 7 days ago, so neither of us could qualify to be a recruit. Then I decided maybe it would be a good Idea to start up a new Xbox account so I could Refer-a-Friend to myself, which is dishonest, but looking deeper into it, it looks like I would have to repurchase Destiny: The Taken King for around 30$ (on sale with Gold membership). After a good 30 minute ponder about if it would be worth my time and money, I came to the conclusion not to buy Destiny for the third time, especially since no one would be using it besides myself, just for that quest. __________ Anyways, I noticed there was a Refer-a-Friend icon connected to a Rise of Iron image. I now know for certain there will be a Refer-a-Friend program for players who purchase Rise of Iron for Destiny, but could it work If myself and another veteran player refer each other - assuming that we both purchased Destiny: Rise of Iron? We would both have purchased the DLC separate, but we would both be veterans to the game. Another way to ask it is if we apply it to The Taken King DLC. Let's say I buy The Taken King on an account that has not owned it, but has played the game longer than 7 days, playing it through a home account that owns the game. Would the account that recently purchased the DLC, not independently owning it before, be eligible for the Refer-a-Friend program even if the account has played the DLC through a shared account? - Thanks.

 •
Referees are new players looking to play Destiny: The Taken King with a Veteran. Players may qualify for referral for 7 days when playing Destiny: The Taken King for the first time after purchase. Only players who qualify for Referee status may accept a referral. Referees may only accept a single referral. Veteran status is automatically granted once a player logs into Destiny: The Taken King.
https://www.bungie.net/7_Guided-Support-Refer-A-Friend-Program-for-Destiny-/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13997 To be eligible as a Referee you would have to buy TTK on an account that has not played it before. So purchasing it on an account that has game shared will not count as a referee.
