Same household can't connect with each other.
So...what's going on? Played the game with my wife 2 days ago and everything went fine. We could connect with each other and have a great time. Get on today and it says we cannot connect with each other. So my friend gets on and I join him hoping she could connect through him. Nope, still doesn't allow her. It says try again later, and unable to connect to target player. We both have cleared our cache, unplugged our xbox, and unplugged our modems. We can connect to each other through other games like call of duty and borderlands so I don't understand what the problem is with this game.

I'm still having this problem too, which is a shame because I can't help my wife finish the quests she needs to do before RoI is released in a few days time.

So..there was maintenance today and the same household issue wasn't addressed?! Like I don't understand what the deal is. I never had this problem before until last week after that update. It would seem like this is an easy fix. This is the only game my wife and I play together and I would like to be able to enjoy it. Please, please, PWEAZE fix this issue.

1 ReplyThis is different than not seeing someone online, this is not being able to join a fireteam within a house. Both can connect fine to others, but not once a housemate is in the fireteam. Definately a new bug.

1 ReplyCouldn't play with my son as well in same household, after trying different suggestions from others with no success we tried one last thing and it works! We were both using Lan connections so I had him switch to our wifi instead while I kept it Lan & it finally works. So basically if you are both on the same network one needs to be connected using wifi & the other to the wall (lan). I hope this helps cuz I know firsthand how frustrating it is :)

4 Replies"Unable to join target player" is STILL happening here too. 2 players same house same router and can't play together. Party chat is fine, both can play Destiny separately, other games are fine. Everything that can be reset has been done. Is anything actually being done to fix this?

Bump, my brother and I can't play together. It works perfectly fine with my other friends, but not someone in the same household.

Bought two different Xbox live gold memberships, two different destiny games with all expansions and now i can't play with my daughter while she is home with me for the summer? Figure this out as soon as possible please.

I play with my boyfriend in the same house and we have been having this problem for the past few days!! Just a couple days ago we could play together just fine. We have unplugged the router, restarted each Xbox, and unplugged them. What is going on?

Me and my husband play as well, some days not a problem other days it's a real struggle it's been that way ever since day one, the other problem is some days the sound is good and other days I can not hear him or he can not hear me. Hang in there
