There's a very, very good reason that Rise of Iron isn't coming to PS3 or Xbox 360. And that's the hardware.
The X360 is a decade old. Come November, the PS3 will be too.
The new DLC will be demanding. They've promised us a spectacle. How can they possibly deliver something of that kind of caliber when they're working with 10-year-old hardware?
The old consoles are being phased out, as they should be. The current generation have been around for, what, three years? Plenty of time to upgrade your console.
These old consoles have been discontinued for goodness sake. We can't expect developers to continue pushing the hardware on 10y/o consoles when there's nothing left to push.
The old consoles are dead. No one develops for them anymore. The sooner you accept that, the better off you'll be.

I have accepted it, I do appreciate your point of view. It goes to show you not only as a fan of destiny but a gamer nonetheless have done proper research. I'm just merely stating for the people who lack the necessary ability to purchase said consoles that they "bungie" should at least give the gamers who don't have the funds to purchase a brand new let alone refurbished system. It's giving gamers all over the globe a chance at playing the new dlc. Even if the graphics are down scaled and whatnot, I'm sure gamers who play destiny adamantly would be stoked nonetheless. Thank you for your input.

Firstly, props to you for not flipping out because of my alternative stance in this. You can take a proverbial punch. I can respect that. Truth be told (and I haven't told anyone this) I aim to go into games journalism. I need to do research into these things. I'd like to think I'm somewhat well-informed. The umfortunate truth of it is, even if the game was scaled down for so-called "Legacy consoles", Bungie would be throwing down more money than they'd claw back. Roughly 10% of Destiny players currently play on Legacy consoles. Think about that, for a moment. Assets for RoI are already in production, to be optimised for use of current-gen consoles. To scale back everything they already have, as well as simultaneously scale back everything they'll make in the future would cost hundred of thousands, if not millions of dollars. They wouldn't make that kind of money back from 10% of the fanbase, no matter how much Silver they bought. They'd be throwing money down the drain.

I guess I could see that being far more than true. And thank you for acknowledging my optimism. I try not to make a big ordeal out of what could be considered a petty situation/ argument. I view this more or less as an debate. To allow the mind a chance to be quite perceptive to things rather than fight tooth and nail over " who is right and who is wrong"

Yeah, man. Debates are great if they're done right. Unfortunately, I'm logical, cynical and critical in my debates so I come across as a huge asshole.

Ditto, I've been in the same boat sooo many times in my life

To be honest, at this point I've embraced it.
