I do think we need to stop the nerf. Nerf the nerf if you will, it's gotten out of hand. The problem is bungie are trying to balance everything, even items that are supposed to be overpowering

Nothing is supposed to be overpowered
-
So you're telling me, when you equip an exotic weapon, you don't want to feel like an absolute tank, taking on hordes of enemies ????
-
Not so long as that translates to pvp
-
Yeah, so remove exotics from PvP. Simple solution.
-
That's a terrible solution. Exotics make the game interesting.
-
Yet you don't want overpowered weapons in crucible ? So if you had your way, exotics would be hard to obtain legendary weapons with cool names !!!! It's one or the other.
-
Edited by Kone19ps: 7/26/2016 6:03:14 PMExotics fulfill unique rolls they have perks not possible on legendaries. They aren't necessarily more powerful. Overpowered weapons are toxic to the community. It happened with doctrine, messenger, thorn, and grasp in pvp and ghorn in pve. And they aren't hard to obtain. They only were in year one when it was entirely rng dependent. And bungie agrees. I already have my way.
-
Sorry but most exotic perks are overpowered. If gally didn't have the wolf pack rounds perk, it would just be 3 mag rocket launcher. It is these perks that give the exotics their edge. If you want to have everything on a level playing field, you'd have to take away these perks. Referring to my last point.

You're completely ignoring the one allowed at a time balance
-
First off, I'm really enjoying this conversation. You're the first person I've actually had a discussion with who hasn't just opened there mouth. Second, what do you mean by time balance ?
-
:) glad to hear it I mean you can only use one at the time. That's the balance for them having slightly more power. So kinda like subclasses you are constantly rolling the dice or I guess closer to Rock Paper Scissors with what the game will be like. For example if I pick last word and sniper I emphasize my close range and long range game relying on twitch sniper skill to make up for that midrange deficiency, but a strong Mida user can easily take advantage of that as well as faster legendaries like hawksaw and grasp.
-
Oh yeah, there definitely is a skill in balancing your loadout. My annoyance is in the constant nerfing of exotics, I'm primarily a pve player and I am finding some of my favourite exotics becoming less effective. I need there perks to give me that edge when fighting hordes of darkness.
-
I definitely support a split of power for pve as long as it isn't artificially rare like year one ghorn, but bungie disagrees unfortunately with their consistency philosophy. There should be significant against minions of darkness buffs for a lot of things
-
Edited by N0rthernKn1ghts: 7/27/2016 8:26:18 AMI agree with you there, I'd be quite happy with a split that.
-
So instead of becoming legend we become mediocre. Simple solution. Pvp gear for pvp. Pve gear for Pve. No need to nerf.
-
Ideal unfortunately bungie won't nut up and do it. For some reason they think we want a consistent feeling between the two
-
No we don't nerf. We buff bungie's inability to nerf.
-
You could think of it as the nerf to end all nerfs. Nerfpocalips, nerfagedon, nerfwar. You get my point though.
-
SC: that's what we fight for now every day. We stand aginst the nerf herders and the great all mighty Deejesus, we still don't know who will win though
