I'm thinking that in trials everyone should only be able to use the same weapons. There would be an auto, pulse, scout, hand cannon, sniper, shotty, fusion, sidearm, mg, rockets. Trials would have its own user interface so that when you first enter into the trials menu screen you inventory would be replaced with a new load out that would contain each of the trials weapons. When you leave the trials menu it would load your personal inventory. You could change the trials weapons with each other at will during games or in between games etc because your in the trials section of the game. The weapons from lighthouse would be these weapons but with an extra perk like the last resort on current trials weapons. There would be no armor or weapons from gold bounties/5/7 wins etc, only from the lighthouse. They would also be a different colour from the weapons that you'd use during trials. Also bounties in trials could be get x amount of kills with each weapon like the weekly pvp bounty we currently have. If this change was implemented in year 2 along with 60fps and dedicated servers for pvp I believe trials would become a true competitive mode as it would be fair across the board still using destinys style but with load outs like most pvp games. They could also remove the boons system and reduce wins required to 7 or 8 because this would attract more casual players to try for flawless but maintain the difficulty for experienced players. From the lighthouse you could possibly be awarded a boon if your really lucky but that boon will only have a 2 week usage period before it is unusable to stop hoarding of the boons. Any other ideas people would like to see implemented into trials?
